I recently purchased a 1999 F250 SD with 225,000 miles. The driver’s seat foam and leather were a mess. I priced getting a shop to redo the two front seats and the price was $3000. I got the foam, seat & back for driver’s seat and I’m waiting for delivery of the passenger seat bottom cover, all for just over $600. I’m a 68 year old man with zero experience in this arena. I just finished the driver’s seat and the ONLY reason I did it in just a few hours was because of these videos. They are the very best “how to” videos I’ve seen to date. The only thing that would have been better was to have a burly dude that knew what he was doing across the table from me. Thank you The Seat Shop!

These guys are killer. The only reason I bought my replacement leather is because of this series of videos. They offer great pricing and excellent tutorials. Thanks to The Seat Shop. I have to say it makes me feel better opening my door to see a seat that isn't torn and battered. The cushion they offer is far more comfortable than the factory 2003 Excursion drivers seat cushion that I replaced, along with the leather cover.

Well done, gentlemen! Just completed my driver side seat ('03 F350). The videos were essential. Watched 'em twice - once before my purchase and once while installing. Just need a couple "christmas trees" now - one for the seat and one for the living room haha

Just finished my 04 Excursion Eddie Bauer. Your seat covers are a perfect match. After 240k I bought the dura foam bottom as well. It looks great. With new SUVs approaching $100k I'm totally reconditioning my truck. The interior was the last item.

Again brothers, thanks so much . I finally finished thanks to your video. For the record I have a DIESEL F-350 Crew Cab fully loaded 8 foot bed. Everything was 99% the same on the seat cover change. You two saved my Butt

Thank you for the videos, one suggestion to all of those that want to try this, order the pliers to hook the seat to the tensioners. I had a hell of a time trying hooking without them, not worth it.

You made what I thought would be a daunting task, very manageable, thank you!! Toughest part was getting the seat back hooked together at the bottom; I wound up shaving a little bit of excess foam from what would be the kick area to make it a little easier!! Still took two hours to get it matched up, and sore hands afterwards...definitely could have used a helper!! Everything else was straight forward with your guidance and helpful hints. Some of the electrical connectors can be difficult to get apart, but in the end, after installing a new foam bottom, and covers that match perfectly, my '04 Diesel Excursion Limited at 192K, fondly referred to as The Big X, is looking nearly new!

love the feedback! Glad this was a helpful video, we know that recording the process and showing you all of the tips and tricks will show if you are up to the task or if you would rather have an installer do it for you. If at all possible please send us some before and afters at - sales@theseatshop.com - we see our covers leave but like to share what they look like on your seats. Either way, thank you for the comment!

I appreciate the series on recovering the f250 . I can't find the passenger side seat foam/bottom for a 2004, f250 powerstroke, with a cab. Any information on where to get it is appreciated.
@TheSeatShop Жыл бұрын
The passenger side is tough, we haven't seen anyone manufacturing that aftermarket, and I don't think you can get it from Ford anymore either. Might have to search for old stock on eBay.
@TheAdamUlrich3 жыл бұрын
can you recommend a seat heater replacement for the 2004 Excursion Limited? I've got the seats all opened up now, but decided that the foam was too far gone on the drivers side and needs replaced, so I will be waiting on the foam to arrive now, so I have time to figure out the heater. Also decided that the upper on the passenger needs replaced; the front is fine, but the back pocket is all ripped up. So will be waiting for that to arrive as well.

Good video. Very comprehensive. Would be more convincing if you showed an overhead view of the completed installation. Were you able to eliminate all of the wrinkles I saw during the installation? Maybe I skipped over that shot?
