I have a 2004 Ford F350 Lariat. Yesterday I watched all 4 of your videos while I replaced the driver seat bottom foam and cover. I thank you for your great item by item DIY videos. Well done.

05:45 is the reason I am here. My 01 Excursion does not have heated leather seats, and I need to pull the seat covers this weekend.

Thank you Thank you Thank you. I've taken an F150 seat apart but my 250 was just enough different that I didn't want to tear into it blind. All I need to do for now is separate the top from the base and you've shown me what to do. Thank you.

02 F250 owner here. Drivers seat recliner latch stopped holding tight against the rail of teeth. Seat moves freely front to back. Cable is loose and not binding. Sprayed entire area with WD silicone lube, no success. Suggestions? PS - bought a seat bottom, back, and leather replacement cover from you in 2019.

photos of my 02 F250 Lariat look a little different from the recline assembly seen near the end of your video: www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1600501-seat-recline-latch-doesnt-engage.html#post20064348

What size hog rings do you use and how many do you need?
@TheSeatShop2 ай бұрын
Hi! The hog rings are 3/4 inch and you shouldn't need more than about 5-10 for each cover.

I only need to do the back. How much of this do I need to do to get the back off? Do I even need to take the whole seat out of the truck or can I just pull out the back part?
@TheSeatShop5 жыл бұрын
thanks for the comment, you can see how to remove the top at 11:11 but honestly removing the entire seat (removing 4 bolts at the bottom) is the easiest way of working on your seats.

wow! out of no where an AIR TOOL comes out to do some work?!?! I didn't see an air tool in the beginning of the TOOL List ? Makes me feel like I need to have one now if I want to do this myself. That's Kind of sneaky!

Dorman doesn't make it, I searched for an hour+ online, and the junk yards won't sell them separately. Will an f250 one work?

what if your foam is messed up to on the bottom of your seat
@TheSeatShop5 жыл бұрын
If your foam is messed up we would recommend replacing it altogether. Usually, with older foams you could have the option to steam it, in order to have it partially return to its initial shape, but that's only a temporary fix.

Do you use pointed 3/4" hog rings and do you know where I can find an OEM driver bottom heat pad that plugs right in?
@TheSeatShop6 жыл бұрын
Hi Brent thanks for reaching out, yes we use the 3/4" pointed hog rings as for the OEM driver heat pads for this particular vehicle other than the dealer or a salvage yard we will not know where to get the OEM heating elements. For aftermarket heater elements you can try a place like www.dormanproducts.com/default.aspx or just continue searching online.

this is wayyy too involved. I rather just pay someone to do it .. Who has time for this?
@TheSeatShop5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment, usually this is about an hour to an hour and a half job to do at home or you can use an installer in your area to do the work for you - www.theseatshop.com/resources/install-locator/
@gc992894 жыл бұрын
1-2 hours of your work will cost $250-300 in labor to do this at a shop. Unless you make over $100/hour, then it certainly makes sense to do it yourself.
