This clip from the Florentine Opera's May 2018 production of The Magic Flute, at Uihlein Hall at the
Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, exemplifies its mission to produce the full range of operatic works
reflecting the highest musical and theatrical standards and to support community and education programs
that foster the current and next generation of opera audiences and practitioners. It features tenor Noah
Stewart as Tamino, baritone Will Liverman as Papageno, and Soprano Ariana Douglas, Mezzo-Soprano
Ashley Puenner and Mezzo-Soprano Jenni Bank as the Three Ladies. The diverse casting of the Magic Flute
reflects the diversity in the Milwaukee community. This scene features four principal singers of African
American heritage. It also features two principal artists (Ariana Douglas and Ashley Puenner) who have been
a part of our Baumgartner Studio Artist young artist training program. It is also a Florentine original
production.
