OMG!!! Let me be the first one to congratulate you Kate! Your work is stunning, and so original. I am blown away by how you adapt the techniques and make them your own. Thanks so much for giving me a plug, you make me feel so proud to be a part of this.

You mean the picture with the plate and me placing stencils/masks? Thanks for your feedback. 🌿

I found Fulton’s videos around 2 months ago and bought my first Gelli Plates. I have really been enjoying watching and learning from him and he has inspired me to try it. I’m having so much fun just creating! His videos led me to your videos. There is so much potential with this process and I’m experimenting and starting to develop my own style.

Congratulations on your new adventure! More than anything, my printmaking, though such an unpredictable process, is fulfilling. Fulton continues to inspire me to improve & develop my own style. Thanks for watching & your comments. Peace 🌿

After watching Fulton Sim's videos that algorithm gave me yours. I'm enjoying them a lot. I think this printmaking process is healing in some way as grief is processed. Thanks for sharing your videos ❤️ Love this print.

I only watched the ghost print (or the clean up print as I’ve always called it). I’ll watch the rest after work (I’m already late!). I’m only commenting to let you know that from what little I’ve seen, I’ve become a subscriber. I can’t wait to get home & binge watch your previous videos. Thank you!

Hi Kate- I am loving your work! I too prefer hard edge abstraction and am experimenting with the Gelli plate. I recently discovered Fulton’s channel and it was a total game changer for me. Now, it has led me to you and I am so glad to have found another artist who has the color/ aesthetic sensibilities that I find inspiring and aspire to! Thank you for sharing. I am sorry for your loss, and thru art and connection, may you find peace.

Thank you, Helen, for all your encouragement & observations. I still revere Fulton & his work. He's inspired many of us. Thank you for your condolences. I think I'm on the upswing. Peace 🌿

I just found your channel via Fulton’s and am enjoying looking through your videos. Love your work! I always enjoy watching another lefty work. A suggestion - I count how many masks I used before laying down the paint. Like a scrub nurse- sponges in must match sponges out! (I am a retired nurse)

Kate, your videos have a wonderful energy! The first pull of this video reminded me of a primitive map (we have a small ‘Lizard Mound’ park nearby - ancient burial mounds - reminded me of the map posted there) - & then the next layer beautifully framed that creamy hue! Very nice. Your stencils are spectacular.

I found your work through his channel. I love the hard edges in yours. I am a fan of hard edges and sharp lines. Keep it up. I am just starting to play with my printmaking but you guys are inspiring.

I enjoyed this very much! I found you thru artwhisperer88 as well - I secretly think of him as the Bob Ross of the Gelli plate. This is my first time seeing your work, so I have some catching up to do with your videos. You have a lovely KZbin style, and there's no problem with the left-handed set-up. I'd love to see the finished print for a bit longer, just to admire the texture! Really enjoyed the whole video!!

Thank you Katherine. I love your secret thought! I think you are right!!! As you progress through the videos you'll see my video set up change, but it is better now with everything overhead. I appreciate your suggestions and I will try to remember. As I'm editing however, the video gets sped up, so that may affect how long each print gets in viewing time. Thank you for your lovely comments!

Your being left handed doesn’t bother at all. Your camera angle is great! I’ve also been following Fulton and love his work and him!

Kate, thank you for sharing your process and your story. Creativity can be a balm for dealing with grief. I can tell you with confidence that I so enjoy @artwhiperer88 and now your videos simply because they aren't over-produced. You both have a way of getting down to business and focus on demonstrating what you're up to and the amazing results. Consider me a subscriber and I look forward to MORE of your monotone and southern drawl (although I didn't even notice until I read the description )😆

Hi Kate, thank you so much for your inspiring videos and for introducing me to Fulton Sim too. I love print making but am a total amateur! What paper do you use and is it on a roll?
@KateWordArt11 ай бұрын
Thank you, Suzanne, for your inspiring comments. I use Somerset Velvet paper, Fabriano, Strathmore, and now, I'm using Dick Blick watercolor paper. I bought a quantity of it because of the price per sheet, 22"× 30." It's not on a roll. Thank-you for watching. Peace 🌿
