Hey I know you use plasti dip but would a similar effect come with regular spray paint with clear coat too if I sanded and primed everything first?

Looks pretty good, but you may have gotten better results using the silver metalizer to really bring out a more true CF look. 🤷‍♂️

To perfect, was wrapped. Your putting coats of paint while a mesh sheet is used. Would be a smooth finsh

Dave A you can see the difference between spray and a wrap. Also, the undercoat “the black one” has to be fully dry before you lay the mesh over it. And when you layer in the metalizer, you must remove the mesh while the paint is wet. The top coat “clear coat” will take care of smoothing it out at the end.

toccaress coleman there is another pattern that I am going to try which is a “marble” look by just sticking an open garbage bag on top of the wet paint and lifting it up while it’s still wet. I’ll try it and post something up

Jeffrey Walder thanks and no I did not. I actually don’t own the car anymore but I’ve used wrap and after a while I don’t like how the edges turn out so if it was up to me, I would do dip over wrap. Just speaking from my personal experiences

Gil Sanders yeah you should be able to use any color you want as a secondary to still give the effect but if you can find a white “metalizer” I think it would give you a better result. Just try it on a plain box and see how it turns out. Let me know how it turns out.

I was gonna say, that "rubber-ish" from Wal-Mart looks exactly like what Dupli-Color uses in their Carbon Fiber Spray Can Kit...lol, but you should try this carbon fiber effect on a hood of a car, I wanna repaint my hood but came across your video with Plasti Dip doing the Carbon Fiber look
