Love this technique. I liked it before the hammer better but both are cool!! Better cells before hammer but better edges with it. Thanks for sharing. I really like the pouring of white to cover the canvas. Yes amazing when you are home alone and can do art!!!!! Best therapy!! I thought torching brought out cells, but you already had those. Did it add more cells or what does it do. Thanks again and subscribed!
@AnnOsborne7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and subscribing!!! Cells will happen on their own and torching will bring them out as well. Often with the flip and drag color will go under the white and torching will make the color pop through in cells.

Love this one! Do you think using house paint makes a difference? I'm still having problems getting cells. I use Liquitex Basics for all my pours.
@AnnOsborne7 жыл бұрын
I love using house paint because it is more economical; I'm going through over a gallon a week! I don't think it has anything to do with more cells though. Do you use silicone? Do you get cells right at first? If so, torch a little right after you flip the cup before you tilt.
@eleanorvasil49267 жыл бұрын
WOW Ann! A gal. a week! Yes, I use silicone. If I get cells, they don't last and are very few. Believe me, if I got a bunch of nice ones, I'd throw a "happy party". I'll try the torch as you said. Thanks for the help.

Hi Ann. I love what you did. Is there any silicone in the white? Any type of house paint you would avoid? I like a glossy finish. Does the "flat" "satin", "eggshell", "gloss" finish make a difference when going for cells? Will definitely try this new way to pour. Genius! Thanks so much for sharing your work. It's so beautiful. Subscribed!
@AnnOsborne7 жыл бұрын
+Susan Leverentz I have only used satin finish so I'm not sure how the others will work. I do not put silicone in the white.
@RuffDayz7 жыл бұрын
Ann Osborne Wow! Quick reply. Super helpful. Thanks. You gave me the courage/inspiration to try the technique. I did it with glossy-finish craft paints so we'll see how it all works out when dry. You make the difficult look easy. My dragging turned out to be more of a "flip cup on a whole bunch of white paint", but I hope to improve as I love your work. Your videos are great. I'm my goodness, I have watched and watched almost every video of yours over and over but must of missed this one. It's beautiful. I was wondering if you could give me some advice though.? I seem to have trouble with the negative background paints. They don't seem to flow nicely and when I tilt there are places that are not covering properly. My paint is the right consistency but maybe not enough pain I don't know ☹️

I almost don't want this to move when they move too much the nice image disappears ! That cell that you really liked and pointed out is at her hip ! This would look beautiful above my nieces fireplace she painted it dark blue and has not found anything to fit there yet :) I love this might make it someday soon OMG your gonna tilt loved it like this 10:29!!! it's still a mermaid ! When you turn it it looks like a cartoon peacock type bird 19:00 doesn't look like much but maybe a skinny dragon so which way did you end up with you never turned it back to original wide angle
