At last -Davy Jones’s sole appearance on Coronation Street. In the previous episode Ena declares she’d have ‘none of his monkey tricks’. Quite a coincidence. Another is that prior to the Monkees Mickey Dolenz was in a band called the Missing Links.

Ena was so loud and nasty during her initial days, but she mellowed down as the years went by. Vera Duckworth was exactly the same. I’d loved to have seen their characters cross paths.

Auntie Corrie2 just found out about this this show like 3 days ago. I’m from America Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I love 🇬🇧 tv show’s especially the ones from 1950 to 1980s. I started watching this right from the beginning from 1960 episode 1. But there are some missing but I just got to the next one. I was wondering do you have the beginning of East Enders from the beginning as well. Well you did a great job putting these together. Got a question is there any characters with that famous cockney accent in this show.

Gosh, Ena's grandson - what a ghastly little boy, and Ena's teaching him all kinds of bad behavior. ------ Linda is acting like a spoiled brat too. Hormones, or no hormones, pregnancy is not an excuse for being downright nasty and mean. Ivan's a very patient man indeed. She was always moaning because Ivan didn't want a baby yet. Now, she's mad because he loves it. I love Coronation Street, but they really have a bunch of unpleasant characters. Now, and back then too.
