this helped a lot. Thank you! Watched several videos (a few of yours too) Was quoted almost $800 to fix my a/c and Fan issue... I swapped my cooling fan motor myself in about 1 hour, paid $71.00 for that and also swapped a relay switch ($15), and the PCV valve ($24 - I could have got it cheaper but didn't feel good about the part quality).... All in all, I saved a ton of money and my issue is fixed....

The left upper green relay you mentioned is actually for the blower motor fan inside the heater box. The A/C compressor and radiator cooling fan relays are the 2 bottom left and right black relays 😊

EXACTLY! Thank you. These are the wrong relays he's showing us. The correct relays are the black ones at the bottom with the words Omron and number 0615A11C written on them.

Jon Pinner so I changed both ac relays. The black ones. Only one vent has slightly cooler air, the others are hot and only one fan is switching on. Any idea of what the issue could be?

There is a 20amp mini fuse close to those relays....one for condenser fan one for radiator fan. Its even written on the underside of the cover.

Thank you very much for your video! Although I replaced the fan assembly first and it didn't work--I found your video and didn't even know the condenser had a seperate fuse--sure enough it was blown, and once I replaced it, everything worked!

Thank you to the person who earlier commented about the relay that he incorrectly points to in the video claiming it is the radiator cooling fan relay. Just to reiterate: The A/C compressor and cooling fan relays are the two black ones along the bottom left and right. Not the light blue one he indicates in the video.

It could also be the temperature sensor which could be bad. Disconnect the sensor connector and jump it with a paper clip and the fan should run. If it doesn't, it could need a new sensor.

If the secondary fan kicks on by itself when it detects it's hot should mean the temp switch is good ?

Thank you. My accord 2006 is having the same problem. Few days ago when i was driving in city, the temp gauge was pointing over the mid range. At that time i thought because of Air inside of Radiator so bleed it out. But it just happens to me so i check one bye one like what you did it ending up Radiator motor is gone. Thank you again :)

Swapped blue relays (one shows a fan, one shows defrost) on my 2011 and fans came on. Sweeet!

According to my owner's manual there is no cooling fan fuse in the interior fuse box wall in the under the hood one shows a fuse for the fan that's the one I checked. So why didn't you cover that?

In my case fan runs for few seconds after ignition and turning ac on. After seconds fan will stop.

Turn on your air conditioner and let car run once the condenser gets hot enough the fan will kick on if not then it's your fan

My radiator fan was not working, all I did, while the ignition was on, was just tap the fan motor, very lightly, and it came on!!!....try that first.

It's probably your coolant fan switch. It makes the radiator fam come on when the coolant gets hot.

When you turn on your air conditioner do both fans spin? If only ac fan spins then check the fuse and relay swap for the radiator fan and if those are good then connect your radiator fan directly to 12volts like your battery to see if it spins cause if it doesn't spin it's your radiator cooling fan motor is out.

Johnny 24 when the ac is on ac fan is moving but not the ther fan ,the radiator fan is not moving My mechanic conected a meter volt to fan and said your radiator fan is no power We buy a new fan both and ac fan and radiator fan so everything is 100% ok Now my car is not overheating but it cost me $530 for parts and repair combine

@@komentoshow734 Wow that's a lot of money for a simple fan but at least you are all good. Easiest way was to just disconnect radiator fan harness and plug fan using jumper wires to battery and if it spinned the fan was good and in this case it would not have spinned so just had to buy one and put it in. Very easy to install there are plenty videos online.
