FYI, Peaceful Heritage Nursery offers some maypop plants AND SEEDS which it claims are superior producers. They are selections from the wild, not domesticated. I plan to get some for myself, and will send you a few… 😁

Good to know .. if these wild-gathered passiflora don't produce well (or at all) I can check them out!

I find them behind truck stops, usually in a thorn patch.

Nice work, never considered cattail. I have an ideal place for it.

That was a really great idea to plant in the middle like that ! I wish I would start gearing myself up to grow more perennials . I always say I suck at growing anything more then just a few months lol . I hope you guys have a Merry Christmas !!

Is that going to be a moat? Don't cat tails grow in marshes?
@Green.Country.Agroforestry3 жыл бұрын
There's some more soil building that will take place in that area over the next 4 years, which will make it necessary to raise the channel by another 8 inches .. not quite a moat - but the accumulation of leaf litter, ect should make the spot a little marshy

👍Excellent source of Vitamin C - save the berries for cold-infusing in the winter; keep colds at bay, fight off scurvy, and enjoy the yummy citrus flavor, too!
