Nice backhoe you have there. Also you seem to be a good operator.

Thank you!

@Maddog worker , All I can think of is, you have some kind of "binding" in the steering linkage. Do you regularly lubricate all of the grease fittings from the steering wheel, all the way through the running gear of the front end? That's what I do and I don't have any problems. (Knock on wood!)

@Maddog worker , I don't know what I would do without it! Over the past four years I have owned it, I have beat the living heck out of it, (Pulling stumps, tearing down my old house, moving a 20' steel shipping container.), and it just keeps going! I DO have to replace several of the seals to the hydraulic rams though. But, that's the only problem I have had with it!

@Maddog worker , I have not checked on this, but I have heard that replacements can be bought through Tractor Supply.

nice , place lookin good ... do you use the gopro ?
@BlackLabAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Short answer is, "No". Long answer: All of my belongings were packed up back in 2016, for my move to the town of Franklin. I thought it was packed away in a box in our old house. I didn't find it when we "unpacked" the house for its demolition. That means the GoPro is packed away in the "blue" shipping container in our driveway. Unpacking that and moving it, is a major part of "Phase Two" of our building plan. Along with landscaping.....

@@BlackLabAdventures - Oh wow , i didn't know you still had one more container to go..
@BlackLabAdventures4 жыл бұрын
@@alphatruckhouse8223 The "red" 40' shipping container was leased and for storing the contents of our old home. The 20' "blue" shipping container, I now own. It has all of the sailboat stuff in it, my tools, my photographic darkroom, and sentimental things from C and E's childhood. Now that we have a basement, that stuff can be moved inside; some of it being stored, and some of it being tossed. This shipping container will be moved out of our front yard and to our backyard and will be turned into a garden shed.

A Sawzall would of worked great to cut them roots
@BlackLabAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is an alternative solution. However, the saw kerf that a "roughneck/sawzall" makes is quite narrow. If there is "tension" in the root, it is highly likely that the blade of the sawzall will bind; easier than if using a chainsaw. That said, some of the roots I cut by hand with just a plain old pruning saw. Essentially, you work with what you have on hand, and do what you have to do to get the job done! Thanks!

boy there's nothing more dangerous than using a chain saw with one hand. I can't look
@BlackLabAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Oh, I was just acting for the camera. I started my cut to create a deep kerf, with BOTH hands. Then, I picked up the camera, and rested the chainsaw in the kerf and pulled the throttle trigger. It made noise......but, I really wasn't cutting much. It's a "fake" cut!
