Hey guys. loved this one George has settled in well. just love the snooze picks. If I were to leave mine out side the shop like that, the rspca would be all over me like white on rice.lovethe chips . Idea for you as I have said before I was in the Royal and a good sandwich was the banjo .It derived from Singapore . and matlots waiting for the boat back to there ship anchored in the harbor. It consists of a 6inch crusty roll lashings of butter two fried eggs runny yokes. optionally HP sause. But it does not need it served hot. it got called a banjo due to the fact that you had to hold it away from you to stop the yoke from running down over your uniform. Today I suppose it would be called an air guitar..

Good to see a video of a "normal day" whilst moored. My wife and I wondered how easy it is living in such a reduced space after living in a house ? Is is easy to adapt to life in a narrowboat if we decided to live aboard one ? Keep up the good work...I enjoy your updates very much. best wishes
@MinimalList7 жыл бұрын
Assuming you get along pretty well, it's not that hard to adjust. The room is definitely small, but it's not too difficult to build a rhythm for moving around on it... though I'll admit it's a good thing she's so skinny, as I am not! We have spent a lot of time traveling together and staying in small spaces, so it wasn't a huge transition for us, but it's still going to take some getting used to. That said, I'd say we were quite comfortable and adjusted to it within a couple of weeks. M

What do you think about that for a idea??

Not a bad idea at all, though they do take a while to build. Personally I'd try and find a workable used one first, rather than pay the premium of a new one. The girl and the dog will love it, though we do try and show that it's not all easy and comfy, and that there's a substantial learning curve. M

If you’re planning on a cruise into Birmingham via either the GU or Fazeley then choose your moorings carefully - best to do the urban leg in one day - if you’re on the GU and passing Kingswood Junction then a more pleasant journey might be had by going up the Stratford and in to the city on the B’ham and Worcester - I’m not speaking as a narrowboater but as a Brummie with more knowledge of what goes on around rather than on the cut

Sigh. I haven't spent this much time staring at the Console (not a terminal emulator, with newfangled features like cut and bloody paste) in years.

I started with MS-DOS and then onto Unix and Xenix, and thankfully have left it all, along with Linux behind ages ago. I'm very happy to have Windows and Android these days. (Mostly unrelated, but have you seen the Wyze Cameras? Cheap security cam, might be perfect for your boat - runs off of USB - mine's plugged into my extra port on my router for power) $20+ bucks, free 14 day cloud storage, night infrared recording. FAR from perfect, but the cost makes up for what's not there just yet.

Please tell me you don't leave George tied up outside shops unattended, that's a really bad idea.
