In this video, I share everything you need to know how to catch Shinies or Rare Magical beasts fast. This method allows you to find the rare shiny Hippogriff, Niffler, Puffskein or other creatures you want to collect for your Vivarium. Shiny hunting in Hogwarts Legacy is quite similar to Pokemon, but just a little bit easier and fun to do! Let us know in the comments which one you found first!

Correction that I've tested: you do NOT need to clear the den! After you load back in, just do a sweep and check for shinies. If you don't find one, just go ahead and Restart From Last Save. The colors/genders of the beasts are determined right upon loading, so this will speed up the process a lot (this is how I caught Unicorns, Thestrals, and Hippogriffs since they take forever if you're trying to clear a den).

Of course if you're low on money and the beasts are easy to capture or there are a lot of them, clearing might not be a bad choice to double this as a money-making farm.

Indeed you dont need to clear the den, that is optional ^^ just wait save load to refresh the spawn pool and repeat until you find one ^^

Another great spell that could be used for beasts is Aresto Momentum (sorry if spelled wrong 😅) that’s my go to spell as well as levioso. Works like a charm

What I like to do is first I get to the den, then I turn invisible. Then I will get close enough the white outline appears and I use aresto momentum. Next I’ll keep using it till I’m in front of it’s face. I do this so if it tries to run after the spell wears off it’s harder cause I’m blocking them. I go right in front of wears it’s face is looking so it doesn’t quickly turn around and run.

yes, you can ride thestral, hippogriffs, which are equipped in gear menu. You also get a graphorn as a non-flying mount at the last 2 or 3 story missions. And it can also ram enemies.

So I was doing a bit of poaching to make some quick Gold. When I got my first “shiny” was pretty stoked. So this is Pokémon all over again, continued poaching and exploring, happened across a Mooncalf Den…. ALL 6 WERE SHINY! All of them. And I already had a male and female on sitting in the beastarium. So they just sitting in me inventory probably going to be sold 💀

@@psuuy No animal is really actually rare, except the phoenix, because you can't capture them outside the last deek quest. The dens are all labeled on the map. Unicorns are only availabe at one location in forbidden forest, but they're always there.

the video is wrong. you actually don't have to save / reload. Just waiting outside the spawn area will randomize whatever is in it again.

The spawn pool doesn't reset when you just wait. You can see that clearly in the video - the Beasts are still running around after that Maybe after waiting multiple times it might, but then again - Save/Load is much faster, more reliable and in the end more efficient

It is very hit and miss to use Wait. Most of the time the Beasts are just running around, which is why you want to force reset with load which works 100%

@@04AMofficial wait resets treasures, beasts, enemies, etc. it rerandomizes an area. You just can't be inside it. Saving - reloading does the same thing, but it takes longer. You only need to do one or the other. Doing both is like resetting the area twice. I tested this because it sounded like an exploit but it is actually an intended game mechanic to reset areas every day.

If you breed two shinies the offspring Will 100% be a shiny But if only one beast if a shiny it’s a 50/50 i think

Shiny hunting beasts is like 5 billion times easier than shiny hunting pokemon. A lot of the time, I see random shinies while I just happen to be passing through their habitats, without even trying to hunt for them on purpose. I'd guess spawn rates are like ~1-5% shiny or something. So, with beasts that have multiple spawns at once, chances are you're gonna find a shiny after a relatively low number of visits.

What is the actual process you, you don't explain it or show it very concisely. If you find a spawn, clear it, leave the spawn, push the time forward, save, then check the spawn?, if you dont see shiny, load save? then after that it should spawn new ones? from what ive seen this doesnt work as youve described unless you just clear it out every single time theres a spawn and youre not showing that? Cause if you have to clear the spawn every time, idk what this save/load business is, they respawn a new set if you just forward time???
