05-09 Mustang door handle doesn’t spring back… EASY FIX!

The door handle didn’t sprung back or retract after opening the door. I fixed it!

Same issue with my 06 Mustang. Somehow I prefer to use metal instead of wood, so I followed your example to drill small holes from both sides and used tiny screws (2.5 or 3mm diameter) to secure the handle in its place. Just a bit scared about how bad it will be to put the handle back into the door, getting it out in the dark and crammed place was unpleasant to begin with.

my 2011 has this issue!!
