If I did it correctly, I was able to have a grid with all three statements being true. Is that possible/typical? For the record, I know one has to be a lie, but haven't seen that situation before.

Yes! That's definitely possible! They're pretty rare, though. I think I've seen them more in the books than the web puzzles.

@tedsteger2513, I have seemingly had puzzles were it looked like all three statements were the truth. In those cases, is it possible that an "x" or "checkmark" went into the wrong box by accident when filling out the grid? I did all of the variations on this one and the liar turned out to be Comrade Champagne as Earl Grey was in the ocean (true) but he had the coconut and not the pencil (the lie). If all three statements are true then it would be impossible to determine the murderer? Can you elaborate further?

All three statements can often be the truth. However, the key is that all three statements being true is NOT a valid state for the puzzle. Someone MUST be lying. (Otherwise, where'd that dead body come from?)

Yo!!! This had me going crazy earlier today because I was like how are all my statements “TRUE AND EVERYTHING IS LINING UP!!??” I just sat down and did it (before watching the video) and that didn’t happen to be this time…
