The final note is silent: we expect the music to finally come to rest on the tonic, but instead we hear the note above, followed by silence. It remains unresolved. As for the emotion, that's hard to put into words and others have expressed it beautifully. There's a pure intensity to the music that pierces right to the depths of the soul, and maybe what we hear depends on what's lurking in those depths as we listen.

when I listen to it, I cry. It's not the music that makes me cry, I have the feeling that this sound connects me to something deep inside me. As if this music linked me to my soul.

This music gives the impression of a soul trying to ascend to the heavens but always sliding back again and never being able to gain any purchase -always falling back again.Never being able to grasp anything but whatever we try to grasp seems to vanish into nothingness -perhaps this is a metaphor for life and its evanescent nature? There is no certainty of any kind. Then there is extinction and the soul finally finds peace.

Haunting sad and joyous not so much despair but yes of death and dying departing to the netherworld , of love or of French Cathars and Gnostics praying and practicing their religious rites under the secrecy of star light nights in the countryside ,or of a magician,philosopher/mystic in his library surrounded by books and talismans of age old knowledge and wisdom. or of dark wet narrow twisting cobblestone streets in a quiet city with old looming stone buildings with lead pain windows and hie gable roofs and Gothic cathedrals and abbey churchyards and with the glow of both electric street posts gas light. or of the joys and mysteries of god and heavenly paradise. Most of his music i have herd so far reminds me of most or all of these things truly beautiful.

We are all hurtling towards death, or the possibility of having no possibilities as Heidegger would say. Every refrain a repetition of the nature of life, like sensing a life slowing extinguished by perceiving the gradual changes in its pulsations and rhythms. Heidegger's reply to Nietzsche's call to an active, joyous way of being is that one can't help but encounter this dreadful possibility with the most profound of sobriety and melancholy. The Ubermensch as an inauthentic and unreliable ideal that can only exist so far as the confrontation with one's own death is more fundamental.

If such a being exists, they are not looking at the universe through the eyes and perspective of a human being - who, when confronted with the vastness and indifference of the universe may understand it to be "a mistake". Such a being would not witness or experience suffering, death and entropy the way we do. That said, this piece has never evoked feels of grief, existential dread or regret in me. It's only ever evoked serenity and peaceful resignation (to that which I cannot control or change). A beautiful, desired quieting of the mind.

Everything what God created was good, perfect as a creation, but not infinitely good, which allowed it in its freedom to lack of goodness. So, thats what happened, it chose not to serve, not to obey and therefore all evil, suffering and bad stuff came to be. Its easier to explain it in Spanish, so, my apologies if its not completely clear.
