For most of them he’s got a really well established rapport. He’ll still give them a concussion and break a leg/arm but there’s a level of respect cuz he still views them as people (for the most part Joker’s kinda hit or miss). My personal favorite is his relationship with Freeze immediately followed by Cobblepot/Ivy. He always tries to help Freeze with his wife or at least help keep her alive. And in one continuity, if I remember correctly, he legit went to The Iceberg Lounge and was like, “Ight Oswald where is the dude hiding?” (I think it was Scarecrow?) and bro just immediately sold him out and when Scarecrow was like, “Penguin what the fuck?” Cobblepot just responded, “This is a ‘legitimate’ business man.” Showing that while he and everyone else knows he’s got some under the table illegal or questionable shit going on Batman hasn’t tried to have it shut down or him arrested as long as he’s not doing the same sort of shit it was before (like diamond/cash/jewelry heists or obvious arms deals) With Ivy it’s also kinda hit or miss but more in the way of if they help one another when it’s necessary or Bats just stops Ivy when she’s doing shit then pops her back into Arkham as opposed to with Joker where he views him as legitimate fucking issue for society. But Bats tends to respect the scientist side of her and if I remember correctly seems to give her less broken parts than say Scarecrow/Dent or even Man-Bat. I also think he tends to talk to her more/in a more respectful way when they are having to fight

@@Deborah-hc8nf Sometimes. Other times they're genuinely searching for redemption or have other reasons. There is a comic where Harley Quinn escapes Arkham to help Batman in finding the new Ventrilloquist (Peyton Riley) after the death of Arnold Wesker. She does this because she was actually close to Arnold Wesker, after she was sent to Arkham without the Joker. She basically tells Batman that if Arkham is a scary place for the guards and heroes, he should imagine what it is like for the inmates and that when she got there, Wesker was nice to her and tried to cheer her up. So she feels that she owes it to him to stop the imposter. She is a genuine help to Batman in this comic.

The joker canonical knows Bruce is batman, he just blocks it out, in most of the canon universes, which would technically be -52, all the way up to universe 52. Any other numbered universe is a what if in dc comics. This is all still apart of the continuity.
@jjankrom43982 жыл бұрын
@@johnlucas2838 the reason Bruce visited the asylum is because the joker impossibly fell of a cliff landing in water with the only exit being over 5 - 10 miles long of water before entering into the batcave. He somehow swam there, with out a mask, or rebreather and security cams caught him coming out of the water laughing, leaving a card, and walking straight out of wayne water. He then told Gordon, as Bruce, that he needed to see the clown. He then shows the joker the card, saying you left something behind, to which he turned, seeing that the joker didn't block it out, but that his eyes had changed, he knew batman was Bruce wayne, the fun was lost. He ended up breaking out, which led to him doing the whole face removal, before doing the same to the batfamily, before he disappeared again. He found a knew way to have fun, be a lot darker. He stopped doing crimes, that would be considered comical to him, and started doing sick twisted, crap, cutting people's faces off, gunning down parents in the same manner that happened to Bruce, etc. He started to mentally torture Bruce, that was his New fun, which just so happened, that he needed to get darker to make batman want to kill him. This was apart of the main continuity.

2:21 - For those who don't know, Green Hour was a hero introduced during the hippy years of the 60s. His catchphrase was "Just give me one hour." which he started off saying to the police while trying to get to criminals and villains. His tactic was to get the bad guys high on weed and relaxed enough to talk them down, show them the error of their ways, and turn themselves in. As he was called to deal with bigger and bigger threats, he had to develop greater skills as a chemist to create drugs that would affect alien physiologies, bypass filters, and other hurdles to which he'd always say "give me one hour" to find a workaround. Inevitably, it didn't take long for the character creators (Peace Stone(r) and Rainbow Love) and the editors and execs to come into conflict. Fans liked the idea of having more human villains that could grow and change, but the higher-ups were concerned that this attitude could lead to a significant sea change in the industry that would force them to put more effort into villain characterization and remove the tried and true "villain does a bad thing, gets stopped, then comes back later, rinse and repeat" formula. Not to mention the ever-mounting backlash from Conservatives who hated ideas like criminals being capable of change, a hero who doesn't use force, recreational drugs being portrayed as anything other than life-ruining gateways to Satanism, the many "colored" friends Green Hour associated with that weren't murdered by police as often as they wanted, etc. Eventually, while still under contract, the editors decided to kill off the character in "Final Hour" wherein, during a confrontation with Scarecrow, Green Hour tried to use aerosolized LSD but was pushed back by Scarecrow's fear toxin which was propelled more strongly with chlorofluorocarbons. (Chlorofluorocarbons weren't confirmed to be depleting the ozone layer until the 70s but Rainbow Love never trusted them and wanted Green Hour's death to come across as an unwavering sacrifice of personal safety over morals). The two compounds mixed and Green Hour was ravaged by palpably intense visions of war, disease, environmental collapse, book burnings, and societal hate to the point where he commits suicide. Scarecrow ultimately decides against using the compound as his subjects "need to be alive." Peace Stone(r) and Rainbow Love would try to create their own stories after getting the rights to the character from DC but couldn't get their stories to break into the market as they were seen as "too preachy." The series was seen to have "jumped the shark" during a series of stories where a reality TV star becomes president and his party becomes more and more insane with each issue. Of course, all of this was only possible in the reality where the Comics Code Authority was never formed, but it's still nice to see KZbinrs referencing that dimension.

In the Arkham games, the big bads and bosses such as Penguin,Scarecrow,Joker,Two Face, and etc. All respect Batman heavily, the lower end thugs that operate below them and their men not so much but his main and bigger enemies have had that respect for Batman and in other medias, even helped him

Not to mention that Mr. Freeze legit has a conscience. In the cartoon Batman: The Animated Series, he's approached by a rich old guy who wants to become like Mr. Freeze so he can live longer, if not forever. Mr. Freeze tries to convince him otherwise, even telling him that he'll be able to observe things but not really touch anything again. He still goes through with it, granted, but he later helps Batman defeat the old guy.

I love how this channel has grown since beginning (during my binge and beyond!). The instances where references are made; the audio is much more clear... which helps from the earlier episodes (which are still good). The choices of reference have always been great. Since KZbin has taken away the dislike number I have no idea what to gage... though, weather it's 1 or 10,000 they need to rewatch these videos. This series has not only been some of the most fun videos with great knowledge I've seen in awhile... but also are concise with their message. Plus I love the DCEU and subsequent animated films no matter what the actual format or whichever lens it may divulge into next!. If there is one thing I would look forward to in upcoming videos is... as the channel continues to grow, is some more life in the voice over's. They have been good but might be ready for the next level! I cannot wait for the next breakdown top 5/10's to come.

My favorite moments where the Villains came to the rescue It's during the Batman TAS Ep Trial. When the villians got loose In Arkham and captured Batman and put him In trial for his crimes against them I do believe the Joker was stalling for the cops In order to get to Arkham to save Batman or for Batman finding a way to escape. Cause there's no way he'll let the other villains have their way with him. Another moment where the Joker save Batman Is during a Justice League Ep. Where the Injustice captured Batman although he may have ambush him he again stalled for time for the Justice League to get there.
@TopFlix2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for mentioning TAS Ep Trial. That's a great suggestion. Justice League Injustice Ep. is somewhat different. When their plan falied, Joker tried to kill Batman by himself. Everytime he tried to kill him but Luthor didn't allow.

Where Joker Avenges Batman when he thinks Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy) is dead, killed by Sid "The Squid" (a Nobody in eyes of Joker) and gives his famous Eulogy, which Mark Hamill perfectly does (This is after Joker does everything he can think of to prove Batman is still alive.)
