Yay me! It's my three year anniversary on KZbin today, so I uploaded something special! Marianne is the only song on Boys for Pele that was recorded and mixed in a way that makes it easy to separate the piano + vocals from the strings. I mixed my instrumental with the original strings, arranged by the amazing John Philip Shenale. I've been singing (just for myself) with your beautiful renditions for over a year, and it just lights up my heart. Your original version of "Marianne" was already beautiful, of course, but when I was singing with this version and I heard the strings come in for the first time, I got choked up. It's wonderful.

I can hear the original vocal come in, very faint, at around 1.40. So is this perhaps the original ejht the vocal panned out? I'm pretty sure those are the original stings..
