May I suggest using a socket tool when working with hose clamps. It looked like you were close to piercing your palm a couple of times with that screwdriver :) Thanks for the vid tho.

I like the tip as I have a 1985 Corvette and would like to know the "How To" on the complete car! I'd like to do mods to make this a little badass Corvette on a shoestring budget and some help from the other gearheads reading this comment. And just may have some good parts to sell cheap here in Indianapolis, Indiana

at what temperatures outside would this be bad to drive the car in (and why)? Picking up my first 1996 Vette tomorrow. I'm no mechanic but enjoy the ease of many of the upgrades i've seen to this generation of cars so this will be my first go at it!

You can still drive at any temperatures.

Sir I have a 1995 Corvette C4 LT1 and the rad. fans come on only with the hvac turned on. So they work on low and high mode. I replaced this sensor with a brand new one and it reads on the digital dash board, and there is an analog gauge on the dash as well from the engine sensor on the side of the block, the water pump sensor shows about 10 15 lower temps but thats is normal for this set up I read. No seems to have posted the answer I need to get it to turn on the fans and not over heat. THANKS for any help! (I DID THE DELETE AND REMOVED THE PASS THOUGH HOSE AND CONNECTED THEM ON PASSENGER SIDE) PLEASE ANYONE HELP

I simply on my 95 took the long hose from the radiator intake and moved it to the metal tube directly and throw the little elbow hose in trash, no adaptor needed, same ID so it fit fine with no leaks and FREE. But as I asked below any idea about why I am over heating. I will burp it again I guess but seems fine just fans don't turn on when needed. THANKS

Thanks for the comment... Not much sense heating up the air going in when everybody wants to do a cold air intake system... lol...

1) is that hose a 5/8" hose ? 2) is it a MUST to capp off the 2 ports on the throttle body afterwards ? Thanks in advance
@JerryJacksonDIY10 ай бұрын
Hey Peace... Yes it is a 5/8 ID hose. No it is not a must to cap off the 2 ports. Just makes it cleaner look. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching.
