060415 The Martin Gardens

Things are growing on in the 'burg. We've just got (almost) everything mulched with the blessing of "hay" that was provided by our next-door neighbor (who had yet to mow the lawn and it was tall, Tall, TALL!). With a little sweat and mosquito bites, we raked enough grass to cover the entire garden and flower beds. This will help in two ways, keep down the weeds and keep in the moisture. The extra shot of nitrogen will be a boost, too. We'll check in next month to see how everything else has come in.
