So far, so good here on the west coast of Scotland. No snow at all, but it's very cold. Fingers crossed for Friday that it's the same as I'm getting married.

Yep, it's lovely when it's Christmas and everyone's lights are on and we have lovely food and drink but then come January and then top half of February it's just depressing and bitter. Mind you I say that the cold can last well into March can't it, at least by the back end of March it should be a lot warmer!

There are yellow warnings for ice in parts of the north of England on Wednesday but you don’t mention that.

The Today program have screwed the forecasters. Now, when the Today presenter has finished at, possibly 07.57, they broadcast a trailer then expect the Met bod to cram in the forecast with their ear thinking to the pips. It's abuse, compare it to the Radio 4 12.57 window for the forecast.
