U can leave the throttle body on the manifold no need to take it off

JSeriesRacing thanks, def much more convenient not having to remove it 😂😂

I did mine yesterday followed ur video the last time I did it I didn’t align the gasket tabs right smh lol I ripped the first three seals for the spark plug seals trying to get them on then I greased them and went in easy 👍

JSeriesRacing awesome, I’m glad you somehow managed to find my video useful 😅 I was working on doing a video for the rear valve cover gasket but it ended up turning into a month long project 😭😭😭

A dude somewhere in the comments suggest I do a video on the rear valve cover gasket. I attempted it and was almost successful until I put the valve cover screws back on. I ended up stripping one of the holes and breaking a screw in one of the holes. That then lead to me breaking an EZ Out within the valve cover.. it was a super long process but I eventually fixed it :D @@NikeChecksHtx

Actually, there is no need to remove the air intake manifold at all. Plenty of space. The metal wire rail can be stowed to the passenger tire side completely. Much smaller job if only Bank 2 (front end) valve adjument is needed. Not so for Bank 1 (firewall end).

Wow, this was the best video walk through I've seen for working on a car. Very thorough. informational, the editing was well done, and you even added possible issues you might run into. Thanks for taking the time and keep them coming.
@hardlymovingpro4 жыл бұрын
I really don't understand why you replaced the front but not the back. Those gaskets dry-out and go bad together. Also, did you replaced the rubber valve cover bolt grommets? They dry rot as well. If not replaced, you may not have enough tension on the new gasket. You can use a seal puller tool to ease removal of the spark plug tubes. Instead of hammering in the new tube seals, applying di-electric (plumber's) grease to the seals and you can push them it.
@Rawrkee4 жыл бұрын
Hardly Moving Productions ah man, I didn’t do any of that 😅😅😅 I shall replace the above mentioned when the rear gasket goes bad

You are chiseling an aluminum cover gasket with a metal screw driver, you may have been careful not to scratch the cover but as I just found out on my 08 accord the previous owner used a screw driver and knocked the hell out of that part ,
@antonyngichabe90843 жыл бұрын
Very helpful. Just got done changing one out. Thank you. Hardest part for me was the rubber rings on the valve cover. Those were a little more work than I expected. All the same your video helped immensely. 10/10

I've got an '07 TL myself. This video is exactly what I've been searching for. My TL was smoking from exactly same place the oil has been leaking from. Time to get to work! Will share in the FB 3rd Gen group I'm in. 👍❤️

Does the jdm Acura rl 3.5L use the same valve gasket as the Acura TL 3.5l ?
@Rawrkee2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the generation. The 3rd gen TL has the J35a8 whereas the 4th gen has the J35z6. I assume the 3rd gen will work if your RL is also running the J35a

@robertbinder1065 жыл бұрын
You left out the most important part of this job ... installing the cover and expanding the spark plug tube gaskets around the tubes without pinching them. This is a very common mistake made even by professionals. If the gasket is pinched the tube can partially fill with oil and flood the spark plug.
@glasser28194 жыл бұрын
thank you for pointing this out ✌🏻
@freddubose85395 жыл бұрын
In some of the models,there are rings in the valve cover where the rubber goes for the spark plugs. Meaning u can't just tap it in w a hammer or mallet . Just get them out w a thin large screw driver. Great video ,very informative and rite on the money

It's hard to get the rear spark plugs. You need small arms, if you have bigger arms then it's gonna take awhile to wrench them out. Hour n half to get them out then new ones in.

Jose Flores when you remove the valve cover, apply the sealer to the head where the valve cover sits. So apply it before putting the valve cover back on

without any guidance, it took me about 2 hours but with guidance, you can def do this in about an hour. You'll have to use a gasketmaker on the valve cover and let it sit for a few minutes before replacing the valve cover.
