Words of wisdom John, I learned aerobatics flying airplanes with my dad, its always good to practice unusual attitudes for fun, then when needed its not so bad when things go wrong, ive been tossed inverted in the Owens and split S out of it, done the same thing in my sailplane, got tossed inverted while in a gaggle and smoothly recovered, keep on practicing all you awesome pilots!

My heroes from the 1980's were Heiney, Moyes and Capps. Thx for sharing.

I definitely have to fly with the hg rockstar's John Heiney and Zac Majors this coming Summer '16 when I go out to Cali. I just bought a Mark IV 17 from a fellow in Pacific Grove, CA but having it shipped to LMFP via Mission Soaring Center this week.

ok, that's a valid point. It's hard to find instructional stuff about aerobatics and a lot of people I know that fly loopings just tried them out themselves. In Germany aerobatic maneuvers are forbidden, so if you want to fly wingovers or loops, you have to start yourself, which I think is not a safe way. It's how I started my wingovers after just getting a bit of advice from people. I figure it will be similar for the loopings. Unless I come Johns way, which is unfortunately not very likely.

I hear you. I actually think that some well thought out video content would help allot of pilots who otherwise wouldn't get such information. I will see what I can do :)

Nice video ... misleading title though, as I was hoping to hear something about actually flying loopings and wing overs... we are al learning all the time :)

sorry to have misled you. Mr. Heiney was adamant about not putting too much technical info into a video like this. He was concerned that some people would watch a video, feel as though they know what their doing, and then do something catastrophically stupid. I made the video to introduce people to John who gives lessons... if you are ready.

Will nobody EVER learn to leave the distracting "music" - if you can call it that - out of their videos?

Watched for the first half. Too much bragging. Too little footage of anything anyone came to see.
