They are not done with the appointment after the extractions are complete. They have several other things that they do to help get the rest of the debris removed from the pore and they also treat the skin to help it become stronger.

Why don’t you try to get the stuff out of the bump before pricking the skin? It is obvious it is ready to release, only prick when necessary. It traumatizes the skin.

Actually pricking the skin is protocol from what I understand. It lessens the chances of scarring and is less painful as it relieves pressure that is built up

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but when I had pretty bad acne as a teen and was being treated at the dermatologist, I vastly preferred for them to pierce the bumps first. It didn't hurt nearly as bad or take nearly as long to heal as when they just squeezed. It really cuts down on the pressure needed to get it out.

Not true. After these extractions are completed for each visit there are several different types of steps that are used to help clear out the remaining contents from the pores. Once the plug is removed they cleanse, use a vacuum extractor, light therapy, masks, etc. about 12-16 different steps. But that is all anyone sees the negative stuff that they think is correct because they don’t see it happening it doesn’t happen.
