I don't know if you have any of that flexible tubing plumbers use, but if you have some, cut it into four to six foot lengths and slip them over your new trees until the trees are established. It will keep the wind from snapping them. You might plant the raspberries against the canal wall. The heat from the wall will encourage ripening. If you think that would be too hot, what about against the iron railing? You're doing well! It might be time to order another rubbish skip for all the organic waste. I think you could easily fill one. 😁

Hi! Wondering if you have considered placing the green house on the patio/roof at the the top of the house. It would ensure the plants get plenty of light throughout the seasons. As you are learning, ivy is a very invasive plant. I would remove it completely from the fence and where ever you find it (most of the yard) or it will grow back and smother your plantings in no time. Removing it from the fence would allow your plants more light and air circulation. Keep up with your hard work…

What have you used to keep the glass from falling forward? It looks pretty unsafe just standing upright as they are now. It sure makes ordinary on and off loading so much difficult than what it is.

Why can’t you drive up the driveway to the house? The gates are wide enough and you said there was a driveway the previous owners would use. It must be very inconvenient to have to park outside the gate and have to carry everything. It better not to buy trees and other permanent plants until you have prepared a place to put them. Planting them to block the view of the road will also block the sound when they are in full leaf.
