How did you get the inside bolt on the passenger side for the cats to the headers

I dont know if the S5 is the same as the Q5, but to access the inside nut and stud for the passenger cat. remove the tire,fender liner,heat shields for the axle shaft. then you can easily get to it without touching the trans and subframe. Did this on a 2011 Q5 3.2.

I drive the audi s5 3.0 tfsi 2010 it smokes from the exhaust it stinks of exhaust fumes can it be because of the catalytic converter?

if you're gutting these cats can you not just leave them on and take out the honeycomb shit without having to remove anything else just obvious things obstructing downstream ends? ie if reusing them?

If the effectiveness of a catalyst is reduced, this may result in an increase in tailpipe emissions and the vehicle could fail to pass an emissions inspection. REMEDY To ensure that the vehicle continues to meet emissions regulatory requirements, your authorized Audi dealer will install improved catalysts. This work will take up to two days to complete and will be performed for you free of charge. Please keep in mind that your dealer may need additional time for the preparation of the repair, as well as to accommodate their daily workshop schedule.
