Very good video and very well explained, in fact my wife helped (due to my disability my wife does the most work and I am her gofer). We were able to replace the glow plug #1 on a Winnebago View Motorhome. Keep up the good work and God bless you in future videos!

I now have a clue that when checking functionality of hlow plugs you need to connect test light to the positive point of the vehicle while the ignition is turned on and place the tip of tester to the glow plug itself, when the light turns on the plug is working, when it doesn't is not working. Good job my man and keep it up. Wishing to see Engine assembling. From South Africa

Another excellent video Master Deo. great for detailed explanation of the problem and step y step solution and not by passing any possibilities. Love the videos without all those fast forward clips and also letting us know that other steps are similar and hence no time wasted. I am waiting for the second part of the video about the Ford P650 Tow truck from Virginia. Please keep up the tutorials. Thank you. Chris Raman.

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_RepairQuestion... I have that same exact 2008 Sprinter 2500 3.0 V6 and I performed this job yesterday after watching your video. My sprinter only have 120k miles but I had 3 codes for glow plugs. I found something very strange when replacing the glow plugs, there was only a partial hole for the glow plug for cylinder 2 and cylinder 6. There were no glow plugs in those two holes as I mentioned there were only a partial hole. The glow plug wire was there but it was wrapped and it looks like it came that way from the factory? So my van seems as if it was originally manufactured with only 4 glow plugs. It runs great and I just took it on a 1,400 mile drive last week before I replaced the glow plugs. Do have know if my set up is normal to have only 4 glow plugs?

Fantastic video. Great detail and explanations. One question; if the glow plug module fails, would we expect all glow plugs to also fail? Or can there be a way that the module is the problem but...by example, only one plug is showing as defective?

Thank you so much for the video invested and the wonderful explanation. I have Sprinter 2008 and reading the fault codes, there are codes P2133 P136 P2138 P1955 Could it be that this is why the vehicle smokes black?
@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair2 жыл бұрын
הרב חגי שושן defective glow plugs would not cause the engine to produce black smoke, black smoke is caused by a rich mixture, you need to check your injectors, the injectors might be sipping insted of spraying, which can cause a black smoke, bad glow plugs usually cause a long crank..

Very good tutorial video Mr. Kitoko! I have an OM642 in a 09 GL 130k with no codes and no start. New filter, new battery and new GP module. My scan tool is showing synchronization with cam and crank sensor as well as fuel pump on, but my cranking RPM is low in the 180's with warm weather and 130;s in cold weather. Once it finally starts with rpm in 190's it'll run perfect for hours on end. Just yesterday drove it 450 miles averaging 80 mph getting 24 mpg. Once you turn it off it may not restart, I'm frustrated! Help lol.
@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair2 жыл бұрын
Geoff Rolland low crank speed is caused by high resistance in the starter wiring or a defective starter! you should have your starter system checked!!
@geoffrolland26762 жыл бұрын
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair Mr. Kitoko, does the ecm require a certain rpm before initiating injector pulse? Or will it fire injectors at an rpm close to 200. Lastly my scanner is showing: Key on motor off “Start Enable : No” “Terminal 15 : On” Terminal 50 input Off” Terminal 50 output Off” While cranking its showing: Start Enable: No Terminal 15: On Terminal 50 input: On Terminal 50 output: On Voltage static 12.20 Key on 11.80 While cranking 10.18 Battery is brand new 900 Cca H8 AGM If there is too much resistance what would cause it not too hot start when cranking rpm is in the 180’s then fire randomly?
@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair2 жыл бұрын
@@geoffrolland2676 if the start data pid doesn't change on the scanner when you turn the key to the start position! your problem might be an ignition switch problem or starter relay failing intermittently or wiring issues etc... you should take it to a pro mechanic to have it diagnosed!!
