Hi great diagnostics but I have a question. All your steps was spot on and my question is when the old alternator when bad what i know sometimes the PCM will shut down the driver for the alternator in the PCM to protect its self. did you clear the codes before condemning the PCM after replacing the alternator.

Just replaced transmission from Glen Berny. It was installed correctly. Had TCM refurbished and replaced wire that connects to transmission. It is not shifting from first gear. And replaced turbo actuator and intercooler. Any suggestions would be great.

Do you not have an inspection camera? You could’ve at least looked in the cylinder for damaged valves or cylinder scoring. That’s way easier than having to tear the whole engine apart

Your PCM/ECU faulty.

Wow, working as an MB tech, if we were replacing a compressor and condenser, we flushed the lines and evaporator with denatured alcohol. We never took for granted that just replacing those parts would get any miniscule debris, and we always replace o rings, never reused them if a line or any component was disconnected. If we did not do that and the AC compressor failed, expansion valve failed, there was no warranty at all. We also had to add the proper oil and dye with every repair as well. Waiting to see if those fans come on.

Great video!!! I have not seen a truck like that in many many years. Brings back memories. I have the (dash ten) operator's manual (TM 9-2320-272-10) for that truck. GOVERNOR - Trips valve inside compressor to regulate flow of air to the system. When pressure builds to 120-127 psi (827-876 kPa), the governor will close valve. SAFETY VALVE - Located at the inlet side of the wet reservoir, it prevents pressure build-up by releasing air pressure exceeding 150 psi (1034 kPa) when the governor fails to regulate air supplied by the compressor. Just to let you know what the dash ten says about that situation.

The question is if you don't have the expensive diagnostic tool, what do you do to test it?

I have a rav4 05 had same codes i replaced fuel pump asseambly. Injectors and o2 sensor codes clear check engine light is gone. I also put need sparkplugs Denso iridum. But tje damm think feels like its missing at idle or under load. NO codes or check engine light I did a smoke test replace bunch of vaccum lines and intake gasket since I was at it and STILL does the same thing rpm is rigth around 800 at idle. HELP

Is I disconnect the hose going to purge valve an the connector an it was not leaking my Stft bank 1 is -14 an ltft is -18 an when I disconnect ed the PCV tube an plug it my stft when down to positive 4 an ltft went to positive 5 with pcv vavle plug could that be a sensor iam saying like map or maf sensor oxygen sensor or ok

Mine is a 2014 3.0L, the voltage coming out of the glow plug control module to the glow plugs should be 12V right? With the car running, I'm measuring 4V when i back probe the connector. I have ground and 12V on large red wire. I think I have a bad module? I have codes for cylinder misfire in 2, 3, 5,6, and random misfire. Also has a code for fuel pressure sensor and replaced that. Then EGR stuck, removed and cleaned that. Glow plugs are 6 months old. Your videos are GREAT! Keep up the good work. I wish I was closer to you. Although I can work on my own vehicles, I dont have enough time and wish you were closer. You look like you know what your are doing and trustworthy!
