Whenever I hear, the exponential functions, I always think of exponential function to base e. This misconception may be due to the word exponential begins with letter e. But generally it refers to exponential functions of any base. Understanding the basics is funny and painful as well. Funny because they are simple; Painful because they won't make sense immediately. Anyway understanding the basics plays a significant role in our studies.
