I have a theory about Ralsei (it's just pure conjecture, but whatever) i think Kris is playing pretend about everything (kind of like Noelle's dialogue in misplaced dialogue chain) in that he's trying to forget about something that happened between him and Asriel (possibly related to the hole?) And i think Ralsei is just a fantasy version of Asriel Kris made up to forget about Asriel. What supports my theory is the video where Kris calls Susie in several places and notice how she always talks about the past. It's like Susie is actually a part of Kris' conscious and Kris is reminiscing about the past. Also in the lake section Susie always talks about Kris' emotions. Thus adding to my theory.

I also find it interesting how ralsei says they’ll check less and less, it might be a metaphor for kris awaiting the arrival of asriel, constantly trying to get in contact with him but it never seems to work

There's a few things i've figured out over here, this isn't just a "wholesome exception" on this ARG (probably, i might have as well just gone insane though) - When talking about Lancer, Ralsei talks in a pretty specific way. It doesn't seem like Ralsei talking about Lancer, it seems more like *someone* talking to *someone* about Kris, doesn't it? The way he talks about lancer fits Kris perfectly. - Ralsei talks about a *VERY SPECIFIC* pattern of what he would do if Kris and Susie never showed up, he'd check every now and then "at the edge of the Castle town" to see if they have finally appeared. If the theory about Asriel drowning is correct, then Ralsei appears to be (probably unintentionally) talking about the pattern Kris followed at the lake after Asriel drowned, probably referencing Kris having a small hint of hope left of seeing Asriel showing up over there again, with hope that he's somehow still alive. The rest is a little vague, but all i can assume is that with "i'd just try to close the dark fountain myself" is that Kris eventually tried checking the lake by themselves to see if they could find Asriel. Whatever the way that might have ended is something i do not know.

There's actual scrapped dialogue for the river scene in which he talks about how Noelle has powerful ice magic, so there's precedent for it. Besides, Ralsei has a tendency to know things he shouldn't.

It seems that Kris does not want to talk about Ralsei with Ralsei, or perhaps even with the player? or even with anyone at all, maybe. It feels fitting... but the curious gamer in me still wonders what the dialogue WOULD be if the "You" option was selected before moving on!!! 😅 I know this is a fanmade ARG project, but the writing throughout the series from what I've seen thus far feels super in-character, I'd say, so it's interesting!! I also can't help but notice the detail that the raft they're riding on feels... particularly easier to fall off of when you compare it to the swan boat they ride in canon... & considering Kris walking into the lake in a previous episode, as well as the bit at the final tv channel Kris sees in the episode before this one, what with the two siblings at the lake... when one of the siblings "disappears forever", it almost seems as if there's, well... perhaps a, uh... dark implication there.

I think this episode doesn’t get talked enough, on heinsight this probably was about how kris was lonely and thinking about what he would do if they weren’t blessed with a world where they could litterally make friends for them Hence why they skipped talking to rasiel because rasiel probably reminds them of asriel and what they said to them but also the world is trying to make kris less scared of them via the lancer dialog with “oh I could never get mad at lancer he’s just a kid” Also the dialog on rasiel waiting for kris and how he started to give up hope on meeting someone speaks a lot about Kris’s mindset here Also a lil aside the importance of Kris’s soul where I don’t think it’s brought up that you need a human soul to close the dark fountain could be possibly kris making themsleves more important in the world

After watching the conclusion I think the end bit with Ralsei talking about how he would keep checking the edge of Castle Town for them could be a metaphor for Kris. Kris keeps checking the edge of Town to see if Toriel returns (which might be what we see them doing in the last episode). Im unsure what sealing the dark fountain could represent. Maybe that would’ve been Kris going to the hole in castle town to end the delusions, or maybe it could be Kris going to the edge of the lake to summon the angel thingy and create the delusions idk
