Nice flight time! That was so smooth and relaxing. It was a pleasure to ride along and watch the beautiful scenery pass on by. Awesome song choice, I imagine the options get fewer once you pass the 7 min mark 😁 Great flying, and thanks for sharing your part of the world woth us, amigo🍻🙏

Thanks for watching and commenting, Bart. It's a curious thing, flight time. It's a balance of all up weight, battery capacity, craft efficiency, flying style, wind conditions, and magic as far as I can tell 😆. I've been using a CNHL Black Series high voltage 6s 100c 1300mAh on both quads and am getting almost identical flight times...🤔🧐 the OX-7 is bigger and heavier than the OX-35 but is more efficient. I like being able to use the same battery for both quads, so I've ordered two more of this battery. I've put off buying a larger battery for the OX-7and I have decided to try two of the 1300mAh batteries on the OX-7 in parallel and test the flight times. It should be a fun experiment. Have a great weekend, amigo. 🫡 🍻

@Sonic_Ox you sure got that right, magic 😁 wind is probably the biggest variable, IMHO. I linked my longest flight in another comment. Wind was 0 that day, and it really made a difference. About 2 more minutes of flight time. I was amazed. It's great to have multi quad packs to use. My 1050s are good with my 3", 3.5", and my 5". I LOVE that. Much like with firearms, I learned that you can end up with way too many different packs and calibers 😁 I've found that I really like to have multi-purpose packs and bullets. For 4s, I could probably live with just 650mah for my 2.5/2" quads, but because of the naked gopros, I have 550, 650, and 850 lol. Sucks 😁 I decided on 9mm for my bullet of choice. So nearly all of my handguns/carbines are 9mm. I want them all, though, lol. It was hard to follow my own rules. But bullets got expensive, so I'm happy I didn't get too crazy with it. My two favorite passions, they both force me to live in the present. I just love the focus required for both. But I can't hit the range the way I ised to, too wxpensive these days. Rechargeable bullets would sure be nice😁 I should have stuck with reloading, though that's not as cheap as it used to be either🍻👊

I agree. I, too, love having multi-quad packs. Multi-platform calibers, also. My preferred pistol caliber is .45acp. I'm always looking for a .45acp AR style shoulder weapon. They're out there but pricey. At work, I had a REALLY nice Colt SMG (sub machine gun) in 9mm that I really loved as my shoulder weapon. My sidearm at the time was .40, though. It would have been better to have them the same caliber, and the ability to use the same magazines would have been the ideal. I think it's possible nowadays. Especially in 9mm. I've seen 9mm rifles that accept Glock mags. Beretta, too, and maybe S&W... there are lots of options if you're keen on 9mm.

@Sonic_Ox there sure are👍 glock mags are used in many carmine's these days, what made me decide to go with 9mm. Though 45 is pretty ideal for that "guaranteed" stop power. I'm gonna get one someday, for bear defense 😁 That sub gun sounds like it was a beast🔥 good to have in the arsenal. O have a couple s&w carry guns, my shield plus pro is a really thin gun that hides easily, and carries 14 capacity I believe. I like the idea of not being the first to run out of ammo.😁 But I've learned to really love the reliability, and simplicity of the glock. 17 and 19 are usually what I'm carrying these days, except in my shorts, then the shield is my choice. lol. So many great firearms, too little $ 🍻👊

I'm no physicist, but it seems to me that a bigger hole lets the evil out quicker...🤔😉 Yeah, I'm a .45 guy, but that 9mm will make you just as dead. I find myself carrying the wife's Kimber Nightfall micro 9 quite a bit because it's so darn comfy to carry. Plus, it's a tack driver and is the same basic set-up as my 1911s.

Smooth flight and love the song choice. Do those cattle just free roam? Happy flying amigo.

Thanks for watching and commenting, James. Yes, the cattle are owned by a local rancher who has grazing rights on the State land east of my property. There are cattle guards on the roads leading in and out of the community, and the cattle are free to graze and roam in between. Most property owners like myself enjoy having the cattle around. We have a lot of wildlife, also. Deer, antelope, coyotes, javalina... it's really nice. I love the wide open spaces. The national forest and mountains are only 8 miles away, too. It's my dream retirement realized. We are blessed to be able to live out here. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻

Great runtime. Does you GPS tell you your speed? If so how fast have you gone thus far with Ox7?
@Sonic_Ox
@Sonic_Ox 2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting, Tommy. Yes, the GPS does provide speed in the OSD information. I've had the OX-7 up to 60 mph and the OX-35 up to 50 mph. That's not while diving, either. I'm sure both will go faster, but I'm not really chasing that metric. I'm more of a medium speed, smooth cruiser type just trying to capture cinematic looking video. Right now, I'm using 6s CNHL Black Series LiPos 1300mAh 100C on both quads and am getting over seven minutes of spirited flight on each. I love that I can use the same battery on both quads. I plan to try putting two on the OX-7 employing a parallel XT60 adapter. I'm certain the OX-7 can easily handle the weight and am expecting around five extra minutes of flight, maybe more. It's just fun experimentation. I rarely feel the need to fly over 10 minutes continuously. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻
