It is always a friendly beetween Ireland and Germany......after WW2 Ireland was the only country who was ready to play a football game against Germany.....therefore the germans used to wear green away shirts for many years ......Ireland is always in the heart of german people....❤

It was not so. The Germans' green replacement jersey is due to the colors of the German football association.

Beckenbauer should have been sent off; very poor sportsmanship by him. Yes, it was the Irish player who kicked him 1-st, but then in a second he retaliated on some other Irish player and did it again minutes later.
