Epic sound, great music and composition, a great new sound for 2024!. I guessed the Juno was playing the bass. I missed the first Juno Boutique, and don't know if the "A" version is worth buying. I own the JX--03 which is a great bass synth. The JP-08, the JD-08 and the JX-08. Do you think the JU-06A would be a good addition, or just redundant in my studio? The JD-08 is certainly a powerhouse synth for 2024....when you design new, and leave all those presets to the 80s.
@2MinuteWarning26 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed this jam! 😃 The first JU-06 was modeling the Juno-106, whereas the JU-06A is modeling the Juno-106 and the Juno-60 (you can switch between both, and have dedicated presets depending on the model you are in). So the JU-06A is really a cool synth 😄 In the Roland boutique's series, I only have the SE-02 (mono analog), JU-06A and JD-08. So I won't be able to compare with the JP-08 and JX-08. I would say that the JU-06A, might be a bit redundant unless you hear a difference between the ACB technology (more accurate modeling, but less polyphony) used on the JU-06A and JP-08 for example, vs ABM (Zen-Core platform, more polyphony but less accurate) used on the JX-08 😉
@funnzie21 күн бұрын
@@2MinuteWarning Thank you for your help with the JU-06A. I have two Boutiques with ACB, when used in unison 4 voice they are as big as any monophonic analog can be. And no, I really can't tell the difference between any of the Boutiques, I don't have the analog SE-02, but I have a MicroBrute and MInilogue to compare with my digitals. If one sounds weaker than another a little EQ is all that's needed to bring up the weak one. I don't understand all the digital/analog love/hate out there. I have the original Roland Gaia (which most hate) and I like the sound of this synth too, I added a graphic EQ to it and just boost whatever it is lacking.

@@2MinuteWarning Is it necessary to use so much equipment to write such a track or can you do the same thing with only one, for example, will KeyLab MkII 61 be enough? And do I understand correctly that you recorded many of the melodies here in advance, and in this video you played them one by one along the way to get one whole? That is, this cannot be performed live, without preliminary preparation and pre-recorded parts? I would just like to buy just one tool and try to create something similar. Could you explain the way you're connecting the roland modules to the keystep?
@2MinuteWarning7 ай бұрын
Hi, there a few ways you can connect the modules to the Keystep, the more obvious one being with standard 5-pin MIDI cables going from MIDI OUT of the KSP to the MIDI IN of one module and then daisy chaining it to another modules. However in this video, I used my DAW as a MIDI hub. So the KSP is connected by USB to my DAW and then my DAW which has 2 5-DIN MIDI ports, is going into the JU-06A and the JD-08. The TR-6S is MIDI connected to my DAW by USB. I didn't use daisy chain here. Hope it helps? 😉

What is the yellow midi cable from the Arturia connected to? I’m trying to figure out how this is chained to arturia with only one midi connection?
@2MinuteWarning5 ай бұрын
Hi, the yellow cable is an USB cable connected to my DAW which is acting like a MIDI hub here. From my DAW goes the red and blue 5-PIN DIN MIDI cables going into the JU-06A and JD-08 respectively. Hope this helps? 😉 (could also have connected the 5-DIN cables to the Keystep Pro directly)

How are you managing MIDI? I see the JU and the JD have MIDI cables connected so the rest must be USB, but what is managing the overall sync?

Hola, una consulta, como sincronizas todos los aparatos?
@2MinuteWarning Жыл бұрын
Hello, I'm sorry I don't speak spanish, but I think I understood your question 😉 There are different ways you can sync the instruments. In this video, it's only the Keystep Pro (keyboard controller sequencer ) and TR-6S (drum machine) which are being synchronised. I haven't used the internal sequencer of the JU-06A (bass) and JD-08 (strings & chimes), which are being sequenced from the Keystep Pro. Here, it is my DAW which is acting as the master clock, thus synchronising the Keystep Pro and TR-6S. Otherwise, you can just use a simple MIDI cable from the Keystep Pro to the MIDI IN of the TR-6S, it also works 😀
