French b-girl here. I was there too. Lots of French people of African descent grew up on hip hop. We were actually called the 2nd nation of hip hop during the golden age. All the major underground and mainstream artistes came performing to France (especially at that venue, Elysee Montmartre, even Black Thought rhymed about it in You Got me). Black Americans are definitely owed a great debt and it started way before hip hop🙏🏾

I used to find everything related to hiphop shit by category... just because it was hiphop. when I see guys like Method Man, man he's just havin' a good time, always a smile, always hypin' up the crow... I've got to say I really like some songs of Wu a lot, especially ones from Method Man, damn this live performance must have been good!
