he's the one who inspired me to make my akuma better. its not easy to keep up that pace and execution. great video thanks for making it. its like a nice quick reference guide for keeping up the vortex.

I love how Tokido's 'home' is Snowy Rail Yard, Kiryu Tsukimiya's 'home' is Old Temple, and Bullcat's 'home' is Solar Eclipse. They start to bring some more personality to the game in my opinion.

This video shows how much the game has evolved over the past few years. The amount of demon flips that went unpunished in this video blew my mind. Great video though, gotta love Tokido's Akuma.
@protonjones548 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say unpunished, more like, unchecked. It's not like demon flip has negative frames, unless of course some idiot uses the default sweep from it.

I can't believe I never noticed this before. In the second match against ACE at 6:29, Tokido connects st. roundhouse from cr. strong. There's no way that's possible against anything except counter hit. *And* he finishes the combo. Sick.
@0ShinAkuma012 жыл бұрын
It can be either light punch or medium punch. The cr. light punch is a little easier to connect for me, but the range isn't as far as the cr. medium punch. The farthest range (hitbox) after a standing Hard Kick is the cr.light kick, but it's harder to connect than both cr.mp and cr.lp, so you gotta pick your spots! And thanks man, your one of the original viewers of this channel, so I try my best to reply even though I don't upload anymore. :)

Gouki may have a grand old time putting his godlike pressure, he's also real fragile and when you make a wrong guess, you're sure to pay dearly for it. When you make two, at this level, well... that gives us this.
@simplelife8839313 жыл бұрын
@Nalkjn2 Thats the demon flip mixup. He can do a number of things and you basically have no choice but to guess. He can do a kick to the front of you, to the back. He can do neither and simply throw you. He could not do anything, land and then go straight into crouching jab attack. It's probably the most vicious vortex in the game.

@meu0213612 жыл бұрын
It's interesting to watch his knowledge of stun. The first two round were as good as you can possibly play with Akuma, maximized every stun combo, read the jump back, the wake-up hurricane kick. It's not a brainless, online autopilot. It's a well-oiled tank on autopilot.

@Tungchu92 its apart of his demon flip options.. to demon flip you input forward, down, forward, plus a kick button..(shoryuken motion with kicks..) while akuma is in the air... if you press any punch he will demon plam, if you press any kick he will dive kick... and if you press throw he will throw the opponent.. (it cant be techd)

At 3:10 he plays the Guile player Kyotojin. He knocks him down one time with a sweep, and then proceeds to not allow him back up. Just absolutely ridiculous mix up game. I've always said that Tokido, was the reason I decided to play Akuma, and this video shows why.
@0ShinAkuma014 жыл бұрын
@solidbeaver .... because a sweep enables you to work the vortex...you can't quick get up from a sweep, so you're able to continue your mix-ups on the opponent that is waking up for more damage over all...as you can see, tokido is confident enough that he skips guaranteed damage like a fancier longer combo so he can continue to apply the vortex for more simple combos which equals more damage overall...only time i see tokido dp after lk tatsu is when the dp damage will win the round for him.
@Rotostorm33112 жыл бұрын
uber playing from Tokido, not a lot of raging demons but when your this good you propbably don't need them as much.
@wccira14 жыл бұрын
@hohihaho Because most players dont know what is coming. Take that first sagat for example, he tried to uppercut tokidos jump in and it completely whiffed. The most subtle aspect of Tokido's vortex is the impeccable zoning he uses on his opponents. So you they could AA and risk the chance of missing and then take a punish that consumes 1/2-1/3 of their health or just block and take their chances so they can maybe stop the vortex.
@mxtra2214 жыл бұрын
Tokido is an animal. He gets that knockdown and its a wrap
@0ShinAkuma014 жыл бұрын
@EnvitoScotsman ... ha ha, if you're an akuma mainer, this vid isn't boring, it's pretty helpful to helping your vortex game...and besides, i didn't title it "tokido's best comebacks" just a best of vid, and what tokido is best at, is the vortex game. :-)
@0ShinAkuma012 жыл бұрын
It's a little hard to explain, but I'll try! What I do is press H.K. then a slight slight pause then press M.K. and H.K. at the same time or any two combination of Kick buttons that is easiest for you on the controller. It's almost like a roll of the fingers or a double tap with a minimal pause in between. You'll get the timing with just a little practice. Let me know if it helps! :)

amazing video.. ive been playing street fighter for about 2 months and i main akuma.. tokido is my 2nd fav akuma player behind infiltration .... but tokido is an amazing player... his vortex game is rediculous.. o how i wish i was able to play like this... im still strugglin with doing the bread and butter consistantly...
@mimickme14 жыл бұрын
@iBringHurTz It's a untechable knockdown, its basically cr hk around the same timing as you would pull off the DP, theres not too much of a window to do it and sometimes tokido does miss it. If you have turbo set it on HK and just hold it after a light tatsu to get a feel for the timing of it.

you can crouch block all akumas move after the demon flip so you can just block everything he does and the air grab whiffs on crouching opponents which is why he does regular jump in's with d+mk which looks like the demon flip kick so that's the only thing you have to look out for and block high everything else just block low

@jvkenshin416 That is the normal forward jump dive kick. You can tell the difference by the sound of demon flip kick and the normal dive kick make when they connect. Demon Flip Dive Kick sounds like you got hit by a heavy attack and the normal dive kick sounds like you get hit by medium attacks.
