my theory on the opening cutscene is this: Basically, this godess had kept an eye on us for some time during rover's past life, and once rover die, she keeps their soul safe, but decades later, something happens, which makes her want to revive us, probably so we can save the world. than, after she casts us onto solaris 3, she gets sealed away.

Big respect for summarizing all that, but I noticed two mistakes in Act 1. When Yangyang talks about something being affected the longer it lasts she is talking about Tacet Fields, not the Etheric Sea, and it's actually the OTHER way around. The faster a Tacet Field forms the longer it stays DORMANT, meaning it is safe for quite a while until Tacet Discords start to appear, but it says absolutely nothing about the strength of the Tacet Discords that might emerge. And the baby in the photo at Huaxu Academy is not Rover, but Xiangli Yao, the chief researcher of the academy. The text talks about how Yao's mother volunteered herself and her newborn son to test the sugar pearl vaccine back during the pandemic, and there's photos of both of them attached.

THE COMMUNITY NEEDS TO GET TOGETHER! The CBT 1 ( Beta ) version story was a way more fleshed out and intriguing story. However, the beta testers disagreed with some things about the story. So Kuro had re-done the entire story in a rush to cater to their pleas before release. With the full release, people are realizing the CBT 1 version had a better story, and the full version was gutted of its story! Kuro wasn't recognized for their storytelling and original direction because of those beta testers. The community needs to help Kuro realize their original talent and vision for Wuthering Waves would've been well received, and they should stay true to it in the future. Please learn more about the CBT 1 situation and help Kuro.

They should have just simplified the names in the story, like for example tacet discords just call them chaos monsters or demons born from humans, and frequencies just refer to it as the echos energy or power you can borrow. It’s better to simplify stories for games like this. It’s not even making it complex it’s just confusing if it’s not explained well in the beginning and u just start yapping it out of nowhere

It's fine if the first few parts of the story were quite boring and a bit slow. I'm saying this from my experience playing HI3. Tbh it was quite boring in the early chapters and I even dropped the game (it was during the release of Palatinus Equinox). I came back to HI3 during Herrscher of Human banner because of Ashikai and some other theorists since they keep referring to the Thus Spoke Apocalypse chapter when they discussed about Raiden Ei second story quest. Gotta say the early chapters were quite slow but it was for build-up so I believe WuWa story will be much better too. I mean the ending for this whole arc is quite a pay-off too so I'm looking forward for the next story.

I didn't skip the story because I cared more about playing an RPG than being time efficient for grinding. But... I barely understood the story lol. Yangyang's constant yapping put me to sleep (but it wasn't on autoplay so I still didn't skip anything, okay?). Honestly, the story didn't appeal to me, but after getting an explanation, I think the story is actually interesting. Unfortunately the storytelling isn't. EDIT: Bruh, I came here for a summary and explanation of the story, especially that lamb story that I couldn't really understand. Instead you just made me rewatch the game's storytelling of it, so I still can't understand lol. Huh, so you actually explained it in a separate video. I will give that a watch later. But I think it's would have been better if you just summarized it here, which is shorter than showing all that convoluted monologue. 😅

The main quest is such a yap-fest, which is a shame because the underlying story is actually good and interesting. I mean I know what they were trying to do with the lamb story.
