I gotta give props to UMA for going the extra extra mile when he gets that stun, sees Chris Wong already low, but actually backs off, stores and does a full combo just to be extra sure that he can maximize the shit out of this and kill 100%. My man played out of his mind all tournament long, what a legend.
@Vadered994 ай бұрын
He also does that because Feng Shui is about to run out and you don't want it to run out mid combo or your links won't work anymore (you use different routes while it's active).

I swear Uma plays as crazy as juri is as a person lol. For the man who won the tournament, there's times that look like he is freestyling (or doing what he wants), and it's a sight to be seen.

You can still put in 7-8hrs a day of gaming even with a 9-5. Most gamers have FTJs so it’s not impressive.
@callumanderson63734 ай бұрын
@@ShinjiTimCwhen is homie gonna sleep? Or do anything else in his life?
@SomeRandomDude8214 ай бұрын
A 9-5 and 8hr of gaming is a total of 16hr, meaning that if you want to get 8hr of sleep, you'd be going to bed (and actually falling asleep) immediately after. If you want to, you know, eat food and have a social life, then 7-8hr isn't feasible. Even going down to 6hr sleep, which I believe is the recommended minimum, you'd only have 2hr (3 if he "only" did 7hr gaming). He's probably doing 3-5hr, probably skipping a day here and there too. It's absolutely impressive.
@ShinjiTimC4 ай бұрын
@@callumanderson6373 What do you mean? 9 to 5 = 8hrs Gaming for 8hrs totals 16hrs You’re left with 8hrs to do whatever you want. Then if the job has off days (most ppl get off 2 days a week) then it’s 16hrs you have left on those 2 days if you decide to game for 8hrs on your off days. When MenaRD won Cup the first time, he did an interview where he stated that he practiced for 7-8hrs every day. These guys game for a living, it’s like a second job to them. They are so good because they put in those hours consistently. That’s what separates them from the rest.
@ShinjiTimC4 ай бұрын
@@SomeRandomDude821 I don’t find it impressive because most pro players do this and has been a thing for YEARS across the FTG community in general. It’s nothing new at all. N you guys are thinking about it in a DRASTIC sense that they stick to this schedule for 365 days a year…… n that’s probably not the case, of course people take time off for vacation and social life 🤦🏾♂️

Me personally, the only place Luke really went wrong was the blind jump out of corner into a blatantly spaced anti air. Juri was literally anticipating that and he fell right into it. As for the perfect parry wake up nothing to do but predict it and try to bait. Otherwise the Juri was just flat out being a better player as evidenced by 3-0 grand finals. Thats a hard clean up

SF6 might be one of those games like VF where sometimes it's better to just let your opponent get up without you being totally on top of them. Perfect Parry can really fuck your shit up if they hit it at the right moment. Or at the very least delay meaty timings to throw your opponent off.

Props to UMA but i loved how SF 6 meta matured since the game released 8 months ago. I remembered a lot of people said Drive Impact will be "broken" but then turns out Drive Rush is more important than DI in high level play. But the meta changed again with Perfect Parry have more and more important roles in high level play. I hope Capcom didn't changed much of the universal mechanics.

I mean, its easier to slow things down in a rewind and pick out what was the best option, then actually performing the best option in the middke of a match with high stakes. Hell, even a random online match its hard to pick the best option because at the end of the day, unless it kills your opponent will still have a chance to win round.

It was a tough decision. Jump and risk the meaty, block or wakeup parry and risk the throw. He could have tried a delayed throw tech but that would risk getting shimmied. There was no perfect answer, it was a tough RPS that led him to that checkmate and his scissors were beaten by a rock in the form of a meaty low.
