2:55 I normally frown on doors that air-exit, but this is one case where the door really should have air-exited. Lots of boss room doors air-exit as a courtesy to the player, since they can accidentally reset the boss fight by going back in the door (or pipe) they entered through, if going backwards in a level can only harm/inconvenience the player then an air exit (or other setup to prevent backtracking) is not only acceptable but recommended.
