The difference tho is that with football you more than likely go all 4 years in college and get a degree which makes u ready for when the football career is over. Don’t forget, 60% of NBA players become broke at one point or another after retiring, look at A.I, Scottie. If anything, he should do what he enjoys more and not worry about money.

i don't CARE if he becomes the next Michael Jordan. This is a TERRIBLE way to raise a child. I have two boys. The first has no interest in basketball, even though he is a big kid and a great athlete. But, he is great at computers and robotics, so I let him be. The second is into it, and I coach him in little league (I played college and semi pro basketball). But, these are just kids, and I will NEVER force my son to take 1000 shots a day at kindergarten, and would sure as hell NEVER let him play any game at that age on a twisted ankle. Not only are you actually jeopardizing his health, but you are teaching him he is nothing more than a meal ticket to you, and you lose respect. The way he talked about his dad and to his mom shows that he thinks his dad is everything because he is a coach, but talks down to his mom because he thinks she does not mean as much to him. Also, when he lost, he went on an on about bad calls and blaming the refs, and his prents joined him. At this age, they should be teaching him maturity, working hard regardless of result, respect for the process, and a world view that is diverse enough to sustain him if this one track dream does not work out.

Emmanuel Enyinwa well said
@stevenadams62796 жыл бұрын
Emmanuel Enyinwa Yeah when he was playing on the ankle I was like "Why would you put him back out there". Obviously he wants his son to play for the scouts but that goes back to you talking about how he sees his son as a meal ticket. When a player wants to be great he/she will find a way for themselves to get out there.

If you have a ball machine returning the ball, you can get 250-350 shots in 25 min. A 1000 shots would take 1hr20min to 1 hr40min per day. This is just rapid fire shooting with a ball machine returning. Sounds like dad may be overestimating a bit, but Suggs clearly worked hard growing up so kuddos to him!
