My parents wouldn't allow me to play football for various reasons, one of them being injury, so they had me play basketball instead because they thought "since it isn't full contact tackle football It can't be that dangerous." I ended up hurting my knee pretty badly. It sounds kind of backwards but I rubbed that injury in their face because I fkn hated basketball and only ever wanted to play football. Now I can't play anything because I'm just too far gone. I would have to walk on at a community college to ever get a chance.
