Some people now days won't understand or like the "stance", but those of us old enough to be around in the 70's when these were stomping the pavement everyday get it. I love it, it reminds me of a much simpler time when all motor big blocks and wide tires sticking out of the rear fender wells was the way hot rods looked. Also, THAT is what a 1000 HP car runs like. People claim they have 1000 HP, but that much real horsepower is violent! Just a fantastic car, thanks so much for showing it to us!!

I have always wanted a blower on my engine, but by the time I got my car finished and was ready to assemble and install the engine, the Covid-19 epidemic hit and I couldn't afford the blower and everything else necessary to make my engine run correctly even if I did find one I could afford. Instead I already had a Weiand tunnel ram that I installed with dual Holley 750 double pumpers and I installed a set of the noisy gear drive timing sets. Between the manifold and carbs sticking out of the hood with a massive "bug catcher" air scoop (looking a lot like this car) and the whine of the timing gears, unless they are very knowledgeable "car people" many, probably over half of them, think it is a supercharger! I built or restored everything on my car including the engine (except for machine work) and I will still have my blower someday! Until then, I am still very proud of my car and she will always be my baby, just one fast and badass, mean as hell, beautiful baby! I have four kids but none of them have shown any interest in old American muscle cars. Our daughter is the oldest of our kids and when she had her daughter, our first grandchild and first granddaughter, she would come over and when it was nice enough outside I would put her in her bouncy seat, strap her in with a bottle and I would let her watch me work on my car while I talked to her. The first picture of my car completely finished and ready to drive was with her setting on the trunk lid with her legs under the wing on the back of it and the biggest ear to ear grin I've ever seen her make! Since none of my kids have shown any interest, I have promised my granddaughter that since I can't afford the four buriel plots it would take for me to be buried in it, she will get it when I am racing on the giant race track in the sky! Now the only problem is that I have five other grandkids that are going to want "Grampy" to build them a car! I will gladly spend that time with them, but I am getting old enough I'm starting to run out of time at my age. Plus If they decide to get into some little foreign ricer I don't have all of the necessary tools and knowledge to work on some of these cars. Not that I couldn't do a complete rebuild with nothing more than the internet and an aftermarket rebuild/maintenance manual.

Definitely the engine makes enough torque and HP in that car he says weighs 3,200 shouldn't have any problems with more gear added and should still be insanity quick and fast . A lot of guys running big block Chrysler engines tend to go lower gears and that can actually hurt ET because the engine runs out of power and torque quicker on stock HP factory engines that aren't designed to rev real high so often times it's better to add a little more gear to take advantage of the torque plus the HP with these engines so it doesn't run out of steam at the end of the drag strip . 4:10 - 4:56 are cool for the sound and great burn outs but on the street your asking for even worse fuel mileage plus added vibration and extra wear and tear after a while and that extra vibration and exhaust noise on long drives gets annoying after a while and actually fatigues a driver more .
