Greatest win ever in two decades of football, and such an awesome game to experience as a Spartan fan. I'm so proud of this football team because they worked their asses off all season long as lots of people were doubting them and saying bad things about them all year long. Well guess what? Michigan State won the Rose Bowl against a very strong and experienced Stanford team that beat Oregon earlier in college football of 2013. That's saying something about this football program for MSU. Go Green!!!!

Yeah sooooo 2019 was pretty bad too. But 2020 isn’t too bad, I mean, we don’t lose a single game the whole year! But in hindsight we have a virus, the world gets shut down, there are mass protests over civil rights, there is marching, nothing but negativity gets reported. BUT we don’t lose a single game so we have that! Didn’t even realize I commented but just wanna say, GO GREEN! And GOOD BYE HARBAUGH!!(I am assuming they will fire him) but to the future viewer who may see this, we ended up having a season even with the pandemic. We beat Michigan and the #5 Northwestern Wildcats. And even better Michigan lost to winless Penn State. In this/my day Northwestern is usually like the ‘Harvard’ or smart school of the big ten and Penn State is usually ranked in the Top 25

Just re-watched it. This game never gets old. A historic win - 100th Rose Bowl - the last one to be played in the Big Ten vs. Pac Ten format. Glad I was there! Will never forget running around the stadium afterwards looking for some kind of souvenir. Spartan fans bought up everything and then even the Rose Bowl placards were being sold for $20.

13:40 I remember my mom, sister, and I flew out to this game and we got to sit right between the goal posts in the end zone of the game winning touchdown we are the ones holding up that MTO sign. Truly a magical moment that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Jimmini the Critic My father passed away in 2009 and MTO was his initials. He went as a student in 88 and it was on his bucket list to go back. My Mom, my sister and I went back for him in 2014.

I remember how disappointed the Big 10 Commissioner was at the Big 10 Championship that year. Ohio State was playing for a spot in the College Football Championships, and MSU was going for their first Rose Bowl since 1988. And Michigan State simply outplayed the Buckeyes to get their prize. The Commish was hardly very professional, unable to hide his downer just before and even during the Big 10 trophy ceremony. 😂

We are signing the athletes. This scheme AND coaching by Narduzzi was unreal. What happens in the Peach Bowl? We defeat Narduzzi and PITT with a somewhat pedestrian defense. Absolutely HORRIBLE secondary.

And who did MSU beat? OSU and Stanford are not better wins than Clemson and Auburn. MSU had several games against weak opponents where they struggled. Putting up 14 points against Minnesota and Purdue shows no indication they would have beaten FSU. MSU was a very good team but there is no way they would have scored enough points.

Auburn had FSU down by 18 and blew it because they had no pass defense. MSU was in the same situation its game over. Your not coming back from a double digit deficit against the number 1 defense in the country and they would ran the ball and milked the clock like a cow ( msu is aka moo u ) and would have been national champions.
