Here's how I made this simple piece of doll house furniture for my daughter out of one piece of 1/8" x 3" x 24" basswood sheet from the hardware store.

This is wonderful! Can you snap a photo of the various adhesives and paints you used and post in the comments? Just for a newbie to epoxy and kickers and washes. 😊

I don't know how to attach photos to comments here, but as for the glues-- CA is not the easiest to use. The kicker is an accelerant for the impatient and is exothermic so don't get any CA on your fingers because the kicker will hurt! Any white glue or yellow wood glue will work great for the wood. Basswood is a little bit harder and stiffer than balsa, but either will work well and can be bought most anywhere. The epoxy comes in various set times. 5-minute (2 part) will work for most hobby projects. Paints are just the $1 acrylic tubes. Spray lacquer in the rattle can is quick and easy.

Thanks Dave! It was fun and relaxing to build. Not as fiddly as small electric trains! ;)
