The model is good, but it’s only 2wd. And it’s small motor can not even climb a low slope.

That's good enough for many uses. And there is a reason why the low price. If one wish one can take it further naturally, purshase a WPL 4wd, modify and move around on parts

hey would this work with a Futaba Steering wheel type radio ? as I have one with 2 receivers

You can use wheel radios fine with Beier products but you will be limited but the selection of switches and knobs on the radio.
