I am pleasantly surprised by this guy, I wasn't honestly expecting this much out of it given it's an hold HG. I haven't watched Seed/Seed Destiny yet, but I'm a Zaku fan and this is one I'm quite interested in for being a Zaku that exists outside of the UC. Great review!

Sorry, but I totally disagree with your complain about wizard pack. I think they fine consider it's a long range. They probably wouldn't equip a beam rifle. And if you notice in the show, wizard pack mostly used to defense fotress and they pretty much stay in one spot try to shot enemy.

I think I might get this based on your recommendation. Maybe one in green, one in Lunamaria colors, since hey, troop building. Nice to see a little preview of the option sets, very much looking forward to those. I agree on it looking more like the Hizack, largely, but I am a bit surprised in that your trusty blue Hizack is your custom, and he still has no eye.

I hate SEED to the bone and the strike and freedom leave a bad taste knowing Kira pilots them. butttttt i love the grunts there. they fit the space fighter pilot vibe

Not sure if anyone else posted their thoughts, but I think the ZAKU is based off of the Geara Doga (the basic styling of the body is very similar to that of the Doga, and the beam tomahawk is a trademark of the Doga, as is the huge left arm shield)

HyperionGM I think they got their designs from a bunch of Zaku-esque machines. The head really looks like the doga's, but then the legs are more like the Hizack's or Zaku HM R2's.

Definitely R2 legs, the chest reminds me of some X and Dragonar designs.

Zaku based from Geara Doga?... the Zaku series was already there before even the Geara Doga was produced.

A way late reply, but, the ZAKU from seed destiny is more close to the MS-06FZ the Zaku II kai, more if you compare the heads, the skirts, and the legs, things like the weapons doesn't count, because, tegnology wise, the ZAKU came after the Guaiz, the first Zaft mobile suit in mass production to use beam weapons

I just wonder can the basic zaku warrior can fit the wizard packs from the rest of the zakus from SEED Destiny because if it cannot I will make an adapter to fit certain Striker packs or astray backpacks

Yes you can, I have fitted the Kerubus and blaze wizard packs and it works. No need for any adaptors.

Really hoping we get a new Impulse in the All Gundam project. It could really use an update, especially since the Sword Impulse is a hilariously better deal than the Force Impulse, which is kind of garbage, not even coming with A beam, while Sword at least had really good accessories.

Arrowdodger well we're getting a RG G-3 Gundam (sadly it is a limited release so Kakarot may want to buy that one quickly), so a RG Impulse isn't out of the question, I'm more concerned with the lack of a Blast Impulse kit in the entirety of the destiny line.

HyperionGM yeah, all Blast has right now is a NG 1/144 kit, to where the backpack is alright but the rest of the model is basically trash, and it has no beam javelins. Bandai seems to always drag their feet on putting beam javelins in kits, and I don't get why.

Just a thought: Why not get the 1/144 Yzak's Slash ZAKU Phantom, repaint and mod the whole Slash Wizard backpack, and pilfer the Beam Axe from Agnes's GYAN Strom to make a Slash ZAKU Warrior? Also, an important update in regards to the 1/100 ZAKU series: They are still in circulation, yet nobody may buy it in favor of the much better Master Grade ZAKU series, most of them in P-Bandai. If you want a good collection of 1/100 scale ZAKUs, you'll have to get Yzak's Slash ZAKU Phantom and Rey's Blaze ZAKU Phantom to go along with Lunamaria's Gunner ZAKU Warrior, but it's cheaper to buy a Wizard only set just to cheese normies.

Vincent Besse They're not gonna fit as-is. I think they will fit if you cut of the extra connectors on the side. You can connect the Gouf's wizard pack to the Zakus though X)

Vincent Besse And they gave him the Blaze because common sense and logic don't mix well with the second half of Gundam Seed Destiny.

Vincent Besse I just figure due to the operation they were on, they saw the Blaze as a more appropriate loadout. He did use a Gunner pack in the operation to prevent the colony drop.

Everything from this kit is good except it's proportion. It's such a disservice especially after watching the anime again and the awesomeness of the design of the zaku warrior

Im watching the Gundam Seed Destiny anime, its ok, I wouldnt consider it to be the best Gundam anime ever, its way better than Gundam Age though... But idk I still prefer the regular UC Zaku's than these :/. Nice video by the way, subscribed bro! Im new to gunpla, hope I can ask a few questions along the way, only built three models so far, my fourth will be HG 1/144 Hellcustom.

Not to say my word is god, which it isnt. I would much, much prefer AGE over that trash that Destiny is, AGE wasn't bad until it got to the 4th arc, meanwhile Destiny went down the drain as soon as Kira got involved. I would give AGE and SEED a 5.5 and a 5 respectively. Destiny a 3. And Stargazer an 8.

Yea, I agree idk i still think both a bad, for age I only liked the first arc after that it was mehh to me. Its too kiddy like. Seed Destiny was garbage, Destiny was a meh too. Kira was a horrible character. Athrun was like the only good character in the series for me.
