Nice man, a short and clear guide that explains all the necessary knowledge instead of telling me crafting recipes for every single thing and spending 10 mins locating a meteor and digging into it on camera. Better than most guides I can find on AE2, at least getting started with it.

This is a nice, crisp introduction to my favorite mod. :D I got some points of interest: - Your cluster of ME controllers cant be bigger than 7x7x7. You will notice right away when you build an invalid structure because the colorarion goes from rainbow to a dull red. - No cable carries 12 channels. The dense cables carry 32 channels, everything else carries 8. - While you can look into the system inventory with all three terminals, imprinting crafting patterns requires the pattern terminal.
@minefan72 жыл бұрын
Very nice tutorial For those who are playing in newer versions, the ME Interface doesn't hold the patterns anymore. Instead, you put the ME Pattern Provider next the the Molecular Assembler for auto crafting

With FTB complex storage, you have two main mods you can go with. Refined storage or AE2. Once you learn either one of these, it's very easy to learn the other because they share the same principles. Both of them have controllers, disks, autocrafting, and so on.

1k storage cell = 127 Stacks of a single item. Or 65 Stacks, while holding 63 Different items. It uses 8 bytes of data to store a single type. 4k storage cell = 508 Stacks of a single item. Or 260 Stacks, while holding 63 Different items. It uses 32 bytes of data to store a single type. 16k storage cell = 2,032 Stacks of a single item. Or 1,040 Stacks, while holding 63 Different items. It uses 128 bytes of data to store a single type. 64k storage cell = 8,128 Stacks of a single item. Or 4,160 Stacks, while holding 63 Different items. It uses 512 bytes of data to store a single type. When the Stackable Item Size is 64: 1k can hold 8,128 identical Items 4k can hold 32,512 identical Items 16k can hold 130,048 identical Items 64k can hold 520,192 identical Items When the stackable Item Size is 16: 1k can hold 2,032 identical Items 4k can hold 8,128 identical Items 16k can hold 32,512 identical Items 64k can hold 130,048 identical Items ME-Cable specifications: Glass-Cables, covered Cables and smart Cables can handle up to 8 Channels max. Dense-Cables can handle up to 32 Channels. If you use Dense Cables for P2P Tunnels, you can route 32x 32 Channels (1,024 Channels) from your Main ME-Controller to wherever you want. The most efficient Way is to use a separated ME-Controller only for handling/routing/controlling the P2P Tunnels instead of connecting your Tunnel-Network back to your Main-ME Controller. Simply place up to 32 P2P Tunnels at your Main ME-Controller, use smart-cables to connect 4-Times 8 of them to a Dense Cable and run the Dense cable wherever you want. At a suitable Place break your Dense Cable in half an put a ME-Controller in between. You also have to provide Energy to this Controller. If you want to run Energy over this Dense Cable, it's very important to use quarz-fiber to isolate Energy from Data when connecting it to your Main ME-Controller or other ME-Cables. Otherwise all ME-Controllers wil turn red and stop working. Then put additional P2P-Tunnels at the other End and then you can link them with a memory card. To link them, you first have to go to the P2P Tunnel at your Main ME-Controller shift-right click on an unlinked P2P-Tunnel, then go to the other End and simple right click on an unlinked Tunnel too. If you did everything right, after a moment the P2P-Tunnel at your Main ME-Controller shows "online, linked, input side" and the other one shows "online, linked, output side". If you want to use only one memory card to link all of your P2P Tunnels, make sure you clear the memory card after each successfully linking by shift-right clicking while looking at the air or at a block. Remember that the big Plate of the P2P Tunnels can be connected to ME-Controller and Dense-Cables, while the smaller side can only be connected to glass-, covered- and smart-cables. You always have to reduce the Dense-Cable down to Glass, covered, or smart-Cables to connecting buses or panels. Keep in mind not to connecting ME-Cables in closed loops. This can mess up and decrease the speed of your ME-System. When using Smart- and Dense-Cables you can see by the colored lines how many Channels are used. But beware! Both Cable-Types can show 8 Lines (4 dark colored and 4 bright colored) in the black Part of the Cables. At the smaller smart-Cables every Line stays for 1 Channel. At the Dense Cables every Line stays for 4 Channels. Remember that one single ME-Controller has 6 sides. Each side provides 32 Channels. That gives you 192 channels in total when connecting efficient with Dense-Cables. When you build your Main ME-Controller like in this Video, you get 32 accessable Controller-sides and you can pull out 32x32 (1,024) Channels. By the Time i thought about this ME-Network and how it works and learned how to use the Channels very efficient. Especially with the ME-Interfaces in conjunction with other mods. I often use the 9 Config-Slots of the ME-Interfaces for real Autocrafting and Auto-Processing such as with EnderIO. One Tip: ME-Interfaces are much faster in Item-Transport than Import- and Export-Buses. One ME-Interface can easily hold up with the massive Item-Flow of an 100% infused RF-Tools "Builder" when using it to mine OR placing everything.

Getting the ingredients for this makes the whole mod not worth it. You need to find a meteorite that MIGHT have what you need, finding crystals that barely spawn in the world, and waiting a good 30 minutes for some ingredients in a puddle, risking it of despawning? Really? Who thought this was a good idea? Survival Energetics is 0 fun. Refined Storage is a million times better, bar none.
