Let me preface this by saying that I’ve loved your build up to this point. Your attention to detail has been outstanding. That being said, I'm not a fan of the bedazzled look of craft store jewels. They're not to scale and look odd on otherwise highly detailed models. There are a very nice variety of photoetch lights available for a reasonable price through distributors like Mo'luminum and CTM. If you're going to invest so much time and money into building and painting finely detailed kits, why ruin them with cheap plastic jewelry that detracts from the model? If your budget is what's limiting your choices, then try cutting and shaping small pieces of styrene and gluing them into place. You can paint them with a base coat of silver or chrome pen and then color them with Testor's or Tamiya red and amber paints. Say no to the bedazzled look.
