AA composite line are not the best. My last one was the Koenigsegg One:1 and I got it in grey from 250. They definitely overpriced that model but they sold out like crazy. Even though I'm not a fan of composite, I'll probably still be buying them because I enjoy the opening models even though I display them closed. Its nice to look at the engine and interior detail at times. I look forward for the Dodge Viper ACR, Koenigsegg Regera, Ford GT, and MANY more. Hopefully I'll be able to get the BBR F12 TDF full opening some day. Awesome review!! I always enjoy your videos

Pass on this for me. AutoArt are pricing themselves out of business. Kyosho have found themselves in a similiar position and have adjusted their manufacturing also, for better or worse. Actually....worse for us. Kyosho have a much broader business with their RC products etc. however.

Owning the MakeUp Model Huracan Performante (4/30) has changed model collecting for me. I was an AUTOArt fan (seemed like a dream in my teenage) and I was finally thinking of getting my first AUTOArt. But I am very glad I did not pick this one up. I will pick the C7R GT2 car instead and save the cash.

I miss the diecast Autoart days. They pretty much had the best of both worlds, detail and price wise. The new models just don't cut it at all anymore and I refuse to buy them at their current prices, detail has done down drastically and quality control is terrible, hope good honest model makers such as Almost Real take away their sales tbf. I'd rather buy sealed BBR and Make Up resin models.

What's kind of interesting is that Kyosho has a limited edition black Centenario that is going for around 180 dollars us, and I assume the autoArt Centenario will go for 200 and it's not limited edition. Overall 200 dollars for it, i don't think is worth for any AUTOart's composite models in general. But people will probably still buy them since not everyone has the money for MR or BBR models.

I would take an opening version over sealed too, but I already had the MR resins for over a year before the AA came out. And when they were sitting side by side, the AA looked not so good. If AA were still making models like the AA Pagani Zonda R and the Koenigsegg Agera (diecast) I would still be buying those type of models. As for Ferrari models, well, there is no choice for opening really, Bburago just are not good enough. So it is really only BBR or MR resins

I have Aa's Aventador 50th anniversary in same color blu cepheus. Excelent review. About higher and higher prices I think Aa must give a lower price because they said they'll gonna start using plastic instead zamac to avoid paint rash and metal cancer and lower the price but that's not true. So, lower quality/detail along with higher price and plastic material is not what a collector wants. The problem is that many are buying these composite/plastic models and many are sold out such as McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 so Aa says "well, composite models are a hit, sold out so, we keep making composite models".

Diecast Cars Yes I do wish the prices were lower as well, as they would be more accessible to people who’s budgets aren’t solely based on collecting models, and because they are cheaper to produce. I personally think Autoart is charging this much because of exclusivity. For example this is the only fully opening high detailed version in this scale on the market. While the MR version is sealed.

I find the design and manufacturing process of the modern composites pretty comparable to most of the older metal casts. Only when it comes to limited, ultra-rare cars do the metal casts seem to be of a slightly higher detail than composites. Generally price is one my least concerns, I find my ideal detail to price ratio is between $150 to $250 USD and as long as it fully opening and the car itself is of high interest. Only when that detail to price ratio starts to be diminished will I be concerned.
@diegovillavicencio31725 жыл бұрын
I would agree if the details were the same as before, but they're not. They're going down in details instead of going up or at least staying on the same level
