The best part was the translation. I closed my eyes and tried to translate it myself first and then see if I got it right. I did! 😂 only a few people can speak coach after all. Tell Coach that I love him! ❤️ I hope he is well during this quarantine.

lockdown gives us time to think, clean out closets (metaphorically speaking), interact with friends and colleagues. working on and reviewing other coaches' zoom sequences, I came across a number of exercises re: establishing RoW with the point. coincidentally, I got reminded recently of Dr. Kogler's anticipation principle as a key differentiating factor of more successful elite fencers (One Touch at a time). And then I found this short/simple drill/clip which seems to be putting the two together. pretty cool.

It's interesting to see foam sabres with no equipment. I run a portable club. It's always logistically difficult to bring equipment in for new fencers who want to try fencing. Do you think they would be good enough for someone new to try the sport (have a lesson and some bouts), before investing in their own equipment?

sure. We teach Intro To Fencing after-school programs and summer camps at the schools, 99% is done with Foam. Plastic towards the end. Metal - last day, if you like what you see, come to the club.

@@andreinazlymov7402 That's great! I had been transporting Masks, Sabres, Jackets, and gloves to and from schools. It's a lot of work! Very happy to hear that foam sabres could work. Is there any issues with hits to the face?

@@romanista77 I've done similar things with pool noodles cut in half. You can say "No hits above the neck", but the best way is just have kids wear the mask.

@@sansailes Thanks Chris, pool noodles sound like a great idea! Especially because I’ve had a hard time finding sturdy foam sabres at a decent price.

Заняты были, Олимпиада, итд. Да про нас и так достаточно писали, доброжелатели. работа не останавливалась. 700 видео - unlisted. Будем делать public - одно за другим. Ну и с доброжелателями пообщаемся. Обьяснять же надо - так просто не вывалишь. вот приходите завтра на премьеру первого - the state of fencing. а про руку - это техническая ошибка исполнения спортсмена. надеюсь сама идея candy = конфетки понятна?
