Nice video. Your first fish (close up at 15:53) is a Starry Rockfish, not a Red. Also, it sounds like both of your Avet reels are suffering from a similar problem - you’ve got “soft” clickers. It could be a couple of things, but I’d be willing to bet it’s either : 1) the springs inside the left-hand side plate that hold the clicker piece in place have been stretched or deformed in some way. Or, 2) the clicker piece itself is sitting at an angle and not completely straight where it’s contacting the spool. Either way, you’ve got some “slop” in the clicker. The only other thing that it might be is maybe the reel is missing a little tiny plastic/teflon piece that goes between the outer clicker knob and the reel body. That can cause a little looseness as well. Hope this helps!

Awesome video, I have found that if you put your reel in low gear and rest your rod on the rail while reeling in you don't get nearly as tired.

They like the 3 inch long by 1 inch wide squid strips. I use the 5/0 circle hook so they don’t spin off.

Try 20lb braid it works better for mainline less scoping. I do this for slow pitch jigging. 10ft leader of 50lb or 60lb mono or fluorocarbon. If you are at 300-400 feet, try jigging it up and down slowly.

Shrimp flies, gulp, artificials on the ganion help. Also, circle hooks! When fishing dropper loop, have the hook point towards the line. Couldn't always tell, but figure this would be good info. Original method of how dropper loop hook should be fished. Come fish up here sometime. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5yZaJmqeqiCp68si=pgGxavQ5LPnBBpz5 for bottom grabbers. Man stay away from those tangles near you. Too close at 20 min mark with three lines for tangles! Use 3/0 size reel, will bring more line up quicker. No, Fluro is not needed!
