Since she mentiones it only once in the story so I forgot about it, but that explains why the arcanists are displayed as animals when they are ready to replace a defeated member as backup - since they are within the ark, at this moment. This was well made and crafted :) Vertin is by far my favorite character in the story and thats something that not many Mobile/Gacha games can claim. I hope that beside the storm we also learn more about Vertins background

100% agreed! I feel like Vertin's origins will end up becoming the center of everything. It's just a matter of time (and placement in the story) that we'll get the truth of her background (such as her memories of her mother). I'm quite curious as to how they'll reveal and present everything in the story though. And just how much it'll shake Vertin to the core once it is revealed!

A fine video. Although since you brought up Christianity and its possible connection regarding Vertin as the 'savior', I suggest you also deep dive not just in Christianity but also regarding its connection with Gnosticism and their version of the 'savior'. Since Gnostics are pretty much what Arcanists are in terms of how they extract knowledge from the world (Microcosm-Macrocosm/correlation with Plato's World-soul, Divine spark, Pneuma, etc). Plus studying about them might also help you understand about the realms and the dualism between the intellectual world vs the material world/Spirit vs Intellect/Manus Vindictae and the Foundation's true motive.

ok, time for 1 last (4th comment) to rap things up for me as well. Since I love your R1999 content, as of this video, I want to provide you some thoughts of mine. Sharpodonties: Sharpodonties show a wild animal and they contain an arrow, which makes it actually quite impractical as a coin. But these two aspects work frighteningly well with your Artemis metaphor, as the Goddess of the hunt. Another fun fact sharpodonties actually bite, as we know from Melania's security guard event quest, where she guarded a special sharpodonty, that also bit people but in addition to that started creeching at various times :D Eternity: When you look into the characters next I have such a burning question since a while: I know that all these characters are supposedly rescued and also represent the desciples of the player within your metaphor. But I cant help but wonder about Eternity. I believe she might break the mold here, and I believe that this might be something the devs willingly did breaking the pattern, since its all clouded in ambiguity. Vertin might be the role of a messiah in the story, but we can not forget that its also a story of her trying to find out who she is and following the path leading her to her mother. 1999 in the first storm she was able to feel her mother for the first time. I believe this confusing thing is not further explained, yet. But the storm seems to be connected, maybe caused, by her Mother. Eternity now talks as if she wants to be treated like a mother. She also has the right hair color. Could it be that the game is hiding her mother in plain sight as a playable character? Of course it can simply be that Eternity serves as an substitute mother instead. Good for her, honestly. ^^ But it seems to striking to me, also her Name. The mother of a person put in charge as the timekeeper, how could it be anything else as a person representing Eternity - a concept transcending time? And her Ultimate shows her in a vast Ocean. Oceans represent hidden secrets as well. Water is one of the most direct metaphors for time this game keeps coming back to, so can it really be a coincidence that Eternities Ult features the greatest body of Water? Honestly, it might just be that Eternity decides to help Vertin, being a mother to her, without revealing her true identity, yet. Who the fuck knows? I don't :D We know that Eternity is immortal and more than a 100 years old. She might have seen "Sins" of various ages, which might inform her Motivation of her ultimate role in the story, whatever it may be. Original Sin: If we are now deelply entrenched in cristian symbolism and you identified "Sin" as the core aspect of each Era (although it seems like a strech to me that pop-art is a sin :D) I have to wonder about the good old concept of the "original sin". It might be a motive. Maybe an entity decided that everything needs to be reversed, so that the world can return to a critical point in time where a major sin happened, even if only from the perspective of the entity (Vertin's mother?), so that the wrong can be made right again and the world can return to its "propper" flow of events Pandora: I also would be super interessted in learning more about Pandora Wilson. We know she is an editor in UTTU, and has a long range communication skill, creating mouths on objects. She also seems to be able to interview all characters, even those that seem to come from other ages? That could imply, that she has means to find shelter from the storm, like the Manus etc. Gender: I absolutely adore how the game works with Gender, Sexuality etc. Vertin is a "gentlemen", Medicine Pocket is nonbinary and genderless, Tennant is lesbian, a shard of glas is a man, while a radio is female, A knight (Robert :)) is asexual because Ghost and pretty much everybody is as queer as they have to be for the player to feel good about themselves :D I am sure someone in the current or future cast is trans as well, but who knows. . Sorry for this long ramble and comments. But your content invigorated me for today! Am able to get started with my day now :) Please keep up the good work!

Good point about the Sharpodonties! Another piece of evidence for Artemis! It's quite interesting to see how this game ties together Greek mythology with the Bible and Catholicism. Your points about Eternity is quite intriguing... I feel like I'll need a bit more information about everyone to formulate a proper opinion about her, Vertin, and the "Storm" -- at least, their ties with each other, but I can see your theory being executed in the future chapters, so it doesn't feel like a stretch! Same with the Original Sin. Still need more information but your theory is very intriguing! Technically, pop art can be a form of sin, depending on who you're talking to. Apparently, some critics said that it was shallow, commercial, and a betrayal of traditional art forms. So in that sense, it can be a form of sin! I actually didn't know about Pandora Wilson since I never played UTTU (as it was too difficult for me), but I think I should definitely keep an eye on her from now on. Thank you for pointing her out! I very much appreciate the way that gender is not the full focus of the game. What I mean by that is that a character is not just their gender; they have their motives, their personalities, their life and struggles -- without having gender shape who they are completely in the context of the story or game. It helps me view the character as... well, a person, another human being, or just a being. I hope they continue to go down that route for this game! I also hope that more people get into this game because there is just soooooooooo much to pick up on! hehe I love it~ And no worries about the long ramble and comment! I enjoyed reading your thoughts! ^^

​@@Trailblazer_Ririna And I loved reading your replies! ♥ Well, cool then. In order to clarify Pandora Wilson, we never met her in person in any game mode, yet. UTTU is not only a game-mode, but also when you open the character section of the game the default page the game takes you to after clicking on a chacater is called "Cover" and you see the UTTU logo in the back. In the UTTU Game modes you learn in small story sections that UTTU is an arcanist magazine about literature and art - and that it is obscenely high concept at times, with crcyptic flash gatherings that serve like arcanist reading parties in a way. (Very strange indeed. Arcanists are said to be fundamentally irrational and intuitive compared to humans, which is well reflected in UTTUS unusual publishing customs) Everything we learn about Pandora Wilson is from the "Bond" metric. After unlocking 80% Bond with a character the third story page is unlocked in which we ALWAYS can read the character having a conversation with this very Reporter, sometimes in person, sometimes with her using her arcane skill. That further suggests that all the information in the character screen are meant to represent information that Vertin, or anybody for that matter, would read in the UTTU magazine. When I first checked some details of some characters I was sad to see that A Knight is supposed to be "an artwork created by arcaists" instead of a living being. But later I realised this description is about every single arcanist. This is only because, as an Art Magazine, appearantly UTTU made a single Issue including interview about and artwork, inspired by the arcanist that the player can play. I saw in past discussions on the internet that some players believe all characters are in fact artworks, like copies of people that got reversed by the storm. I believe that is incorrect. Especially the conversation of Pandora Wilson with Diggers shows that Diggers is concious about the artwork of himself that the Magazine featured and that UTTU is a magazine about art. I did not mean to ramble again ;D But it seemed that due to you not progressing as far as me in terms of gameplay, I might be able to provide some perspective that might be helpful in your content creation^^

It's actually quite funny that some people believe that the characters are considered "artworks" because I have some theories in mind, especially for that third video, where I may end up discussing about certain art movements and things like that. Maybe not specifically in regards to the characters as of now (since I need to look further into it), but it is quite relevant for other things too. And no worries~ I enjoy your rambles! It's always great to hear from more experienced players about details that I haven't noticed myself (or completely forgot about since I tend to go down a rabbit hole in one direction when I start digging in). I definitely will! Even though the video essays aren't technically the focus of my channel, it is one that I would like to continue doing for my own satisfaction. Basically, regardless of whether this game generates enough of an audience or not, it's definitely worth it for the sake of my own improvements as a content creator. After all, reaction videos and gameplay streams (even though I enjoy both) can only go so far in regards to testing my skills as a content creator, so this will be a fun way to go about it. I can't promise that I'll have another video out extremely fast though, but I think once I get the hang of it, I'll be able to release more and more of these frequently.
